Whats it going to take?

Hey guys, me and some friends were new to the vault and because of the vault we all started playing magic again. We think it really sucks that it got hacked and we wanna know.. well I'm sure allot of us want to know. What would it take to get the site back up and is there any way the community can help?

backups of the vault, cards, and the deck building portion. Are there any? and can we possibly get it up again?

Show some support ppl comment one what you think.

I'm assuming a lot of work on Gary's part, and he seems content with the forums being back up, which is fine by me. You have to realize how discouraged he must feel at the moment, with all of his hard work being destroyed for no reason what-so-ever. He has stated that he does have backups of the Vault, Decks, and comments, but I don't think he feels motivated enough to get everything back up and running at the moment.

For now, just make the most of the forums. You can post your decklists here for feedback, and you can use magicthegathering.com's Gatherer for a card database, which is what I use most of the time anyways. I'm actually getting ready to throw a decklist I whipped up a couple days ago.

I do indeed have a backup the entire vault database (minus the old forums) but the code has several insecurities and I wouldn't feel comfortable putting the site back up whilst these exist. I have a fairly free weekend this one so I might take a look at the code and see what's going on and how this whole thing happened.
