fast burn

I like the idea...lots of damage...very quick, very cheap.

I just don't think you can win before turn 3 or 4 (since you can only put one land out per turn and each card only deals 2 or 3 damage). I'd be worried mana ramp decks that drop huge creaures on turn 2 or turn 3. A couple of counters to your burn spells, and some creature drops would be devastating to you, I think. Even if you can deal with the first big creature, I think your card supply will be depeted by it (and you only get to draw one card next turn) and I'm not sure how you deal with the second...or third.

I think your deck has two bottlenecks: The first is playing the lands (only one per turn...a handful of 1 mana burns dont do all that much with only 2 or 3 lands in play) and second is maintaing a healthy card supply (cheap mana means less damage per card (except of course lightning bolt)) to do damage where it's needed. Maybe think about putting in some more Fireball's, or maybe Red Sun's Zenith, to deal with big threats when they appear.

I'll give it the "like" because I'm digging the idea, but I think the execution needs some tweaking. You need a way to keep a healthy hand size.

This deck that this guy made also needs the card Chain Lightning!!!!!! It's the same as lightning bolt pretty much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you there arent really any high damage burn spells in this deck. Hopefully i would be able to burn my opponent before they started getting big creatures out. Surprisingly this deck does really good against my friends. They have all built life gain decks now though so I know longer run this deck against my friends but against new people who play against me in magic now

Needs maybe, more creature removal. If you didn't have the Fortune Thief...i would say Pyroclasm could work.

I like Furnace of Rath. I use it in my red burn decks.

Fireblast should be considered. It combos well with Furnace of Rath. And it is an awesome win card.

Consider this. You have 2 fireblast in your hand as well as 1 Furnace or Rath.
You have 4 mana on the table. You tap all 4 mana to bring in Furnace of Rath. You then sack 2 lands each to each Fireblast. Since the damage is doubled, it ends up being 16 points of damage! Would consider removing Rift Bolt for them.
