The basic premise of the deck is to get out a Thrumming Stone and then cast a Shadowborn Apostle. After rippling into about twenty apostles (it is hard to fizzle), there are a few ways to win (in order to avoid disruption):1: Sacrifice enough apostles to get Griselbrand and Rune-Scarred Demon. Tutor for Mass Hysteria, and swing for the win. Maybe draw some cards with Griselbrand for fun.2: After casting the apostles, you can Grapeshot the opponent. Don't have it in hand? Tutor for one with Rune-Scarred Demon. Note that ripple will still trigger for Grapeshot (even though you most likely won't need another copy).3: As a Backup, Westvale Abbey is in the deck if all else fails. It helps against Pithing Needle naming the apostles or Leonin Arbiter to stop from searching the library. Worth noting that Ormendahl, Profane Prince (the flip side of Westvale Abbey) is a demon, which is a flavor win even though he can't be tutored from the apostles.In testing, I have had surprising success with this deck in modern.

This is the type of deck I love to make and play. Just yesterday I was pondering how to make a commander deck like this but without Griselbrand because he is banned in commander. Wondering how my play group will respond to multiple Shadowborn Disciples and wondering if will allow it like my relentess rats deck. Adding Westvale Abbey to deck might be fun.

I was thinking wouldn't dark rituals be preferable to some of your artifacts ?also "Demon of Death's Gate" seems like another good target for summoning.
This is supposed to be modern legal, hence no Dark Ritual. As for the demon, Griselbrand is just more powerful with the life gain and especially the card draw.
