Oh and maybe you want Kiora, Master of the Depths over Divination. Her -2 will probably net you 2 cards every time.

It is pretty pricey, but I've been playing for a while and have all the cards in the deck aside from Force of Will, which I plan on getting lol. I find the land base works well for me with the low curve. Kumena has the draw power I need to hit my land drops most of the time, but I may go up to 38 and add another ramp spell.

Fable and wolf is a nice card, but probably fit your deck a bit better with the ramp and stuff. I'm running Talrand, Sky Summoner instead, partly just because he's a merfolk haha. Thanks for the feedback

Fair enough. Skyshroud Claim is a great ramp card that doesn't bring the lands in tapped, so you can keep dropping creatures after. It can also bring any forest like breeding pool.

Prophet of Kruphix is actually banned in Commander. Seedborn Muse is probably the best replacement for it.

And I would suggest that you remove about half of the mana ramp spells and replace them with Heroic intervention and counters, so you can interact against your opponents. Merfolks really don't need that much mana and most of your cards are 2-3 mana. I would add Earth Craft over any mana ramp spell.

Merrow Commerce is a merfolk enchantment and you can tap it for Kumena's abilities. I would say it's a must in the deck.

list of cards I would add first:

Hinterland Harbor
Merrow Commerce
Heroic Intervention
Cyclonic Rift
Counterspell
Beast within

And those are my thoughts :P And here's a list of my Kumena deck if you're intereted - Cheers

This is very silly. The odds you get 3 crabs in your opening is very rare. People still play 4 aether vials in decks like merfolk, not because they want to use more then one. running 4 copies gives you a good chance of drawing one in your opening hand.

And Hedron crab is one of the best mill cards printed IMO. if you have 2 on turn 2 you can just play a fetch land to mill 12. If they sit on the board, you can get good mill value for 1 mana

It looks like you may be able to win by damage also, but if your not concerned about their life then Devour Flesh is not bad. Ultimate Price is also good (you can side board it in and out) and tragic slip is great too. You have lots of creatures so you can drop the 3 Balutrade spys and add 3 removal spells. Also, Jace, Memory Adept is a must! I would have about 1-2 and swap him with mind sculpt or mind grind.

It doesn't look like it has much defence and can easily be run over by aggro. Maybe doorkeeper + fogbank? Balutrade spy is slow, so I would take them out. You should also have more removal than just dimir charm.

you might want to take out the boar. I you have the ring on the feild alrady you can just give any creature hast for a coulorless so the boars not so great. (2-3) hellrider will work well with the undying creaters. and if its not too much you should try and put in rootbound creg.

you commented on my deck.... but if you wanted this deck to be standard legal you need to take out vamp bite, duress, and bojuka bog. I'd put vampire bite in my deck too if I could.
