Deck Description

Please compare my deck with the one from unknownhunter763 and post any changes that should be made, as we are both following the same card: Zuran Orb. Also, if you like this deck, please look at my other decks, as there are some ones that are quite interesting in there. Thanks.

I've finnaly desided to make my life gain deck a merfolk deck instead. Zuran orb isnt the main card, but using the banneret to lower the amount of mana needed for cards it still works fine. It focuses on milling the opponent to death, but the life gain helps to stay alive whil you try and find the right cards. You mainly want the judge of currents to be out at the same time as drowner of secrets and merrow commerce. It also uses cheap cards like the banneret and ink dissolver as an easy supply of cards ready to get tapped. Personally I think the zuran orb just ruins it, but it was supposed to rely on it and it surtainly does. Over all, I think I did pretty good. Please comment and rate. Give me any suggestions to make it better. Also if you like this deck, please look at my others.

hey i posted u back on my liege deck, my zuran orb deck is called saproling bond u dont need to base it off of my deck, come up with ur own strategy for it, but if u cant think of anything, go ahead and just try to improve mine i would like to see something different tho k hey btw whats ur name im matt

hi, im jacob.i'm only 13, but i dont think im THAT bad at making decks. but thats just my oppinion. i reckon tonnes of people would think i suck at deck making.

good idea for the deck, i like how u based it around a different theme but worked it into it to stall while u get going in it. yea, im 19 i started playing in ravinica when i was 16. when did u start playing? i just recently, u did way better than me, im sure ull eventually surpass me and alot of other builders just keep it up jacob :)

i only started in morningtide, so thats why most of my decks are creaturebased (i learnt with them). i learnt how to play 2 years ago (see my treefolk deck) but i got my first deck 1 year ago (see my rogue deck). because to be continued...

because i had learnt during morningtide, the friend that tought me magic told me about all the different creature types, and because idd never seen kithkin before, when he asked me what deck i wanted to have, i said i wanted little people. (see my kithkin deck) thats my magic life.

theme wise for being based on the card, i would say mine is better, by lets say 8/10 but speed wise its like a 5 or 6/10 yours themewise for being based on the card i would say 6 or 7/10. speed wise i would say yours is 8/10 so its pretty even

Hey, good plan with using the bannerets to decrease your need for land, merrow reejery also helps there so that's pretty awesome, what you are missing however is any real abuse of the orb, after having the orb pointed out to me I went on to abuse it a little. That said the colours most assosciated with dicking around with lands are red and green so I guess that's why your abuse is limited.

Deck promotion aside the last thing I would say is that you do not need 24 lands in this deck, you're highest cmc is 3 and that is before you start reducing costs, I rcommend lowering your land count to 20 and putting in 4 more anythings that could be helpful (crucible of worlds perhaps so that you can return lands from your graveyard to play.)
