How do you feel about Thoughtseize or Despise for all of the Eldrazi floating around in modern?

Makes sense, I got lucky when chord prices bottomed out with the reprint last year, so I picked up a set. +1 for the deck good sir.
I've been using a GB version with maelstrom pulse, abrupt decay, and deathspore. Deathspore with Chord of Calling turns saprolings into instant removal. Have you thought about a one-of Mycoloth with Chord of Calling? You tap all of your saprolings at the end of your opponent's turn to chord for mycoloth, eat all of your tapped saprolings, and put twice as many into play on your upkeep
I'd like to keep it tri-color (I'm already pretty bad at setting up the right lands a lot of the time), so Surgical Extraction seems to fit the bill.
My spidey sense is tingling. I'm going to toss a few into the sideboard. I think game 1 I want to nuke as much as possible, then see what they rely on most game 2 and form a "surgical" strike on what they need most. Thanks for the tip!
