Deck Description

So, I run Dimir Mill and my buddy says I would benefit from making the deck esper... Here is my first attempt.

The thing is that this deck can't be considered a "mill deck". It's really Esper Control with a Mill win-con. Play mind grind for 4, 3 times will not win. But if I can delay the game long enough to mind grind for 8 or 9 (when they have a bunch of land already on the field) then I can win it.

The Dimir Mill deck is here:

How to Play

Control L.A.B. until I can drop a Mind Grind for 8+

The sideboard is interesting. I have a few options:

1. Put in Crypt Incursion and Essence Scatter against reanimator
2. Notion Thief against any deck with blue and white (Sphinx's Revelation)
3. Essence Scatter and Psychic Spiral against Aggro
OR
4. Sire, Omniscience, Infinite, and Spiral for an UBER FULL DECK MILL OUT!!!

Guildmage isn't fast enough. I'd rather have the counter.

Fair enough. What about Ultimate Price instead of Devour Flesh?

I learned (from "away" of far // away) that making them sacrifice is a very powerful tool. Not to mention, it beats hexproof and indestructable. As long as I can control the board long enough, they will have to sac what I want them to.

Not to mention, if I'm close to mill out but not there and my life is low I can play that, sac the Aberration, and gain 40+ life.

Grazie la mio amico

My fear is still aggro. I'm not sure what to do about it. Will this hold up?

Hmm interesting, One way to stall is with nice defender creatures like fog bank. That way you can block the strongest creatures until you drop Supreme Verdict. Also I'm not too fond of Azorius Charm with only three creatures. Feel free to sideboard my suggestion.

You know, in Dimir mill I had the same idea. But after playing a bunch, I realized that the defenders just got in my way. I'd rather make sure they get no creatures as opposed to blocking the ones that attack. And Azorius Charm is mostly for the card advantage or to bounce a creature that I don't counter right away.
