That's a good point, but the crackling perimeter is there as a 2nd win con in case of something like that. Detention Sphere also takes care of pithing needle. I'm on the fence about the devour flesh, and I've been toying with the idea of fade into antiquity's to help the d-spheres with gods and the like

Actually it is, any spell which I'm going to actually cast is black, you never actually hardcast the fatties, it's just the nature of reanimator

You know, I dont usually care to play standard, but i really like this deck! I also cant help but feel scavenging ooze has a place somewhere in there, MB or SB.

Overall, really nice job!

I considered reverberates in addition to twincasts, but i never realized that it would make it more likely to have the right mana, good catch

I keep it in for copying spells that opponents play against me, there are no spells that id want to drop then copy, except maybe a counter or a lightning bolt, so its a back pocket thing i have that I've found to come in handy in some situations. Not to overlook how players will hold back from playing spells when they know you can copy it, When theyre holding back you can go on the offensive

I like it, but the swordsmith/armorsmiths arent that good. If youre not trying to stick to standard, which i doubt based on Preeminant captain, id replace some with daru warchief. There are a few other good soldier cards you seemed to overlook, check out my soldier deck if you have the time, its more token based, but when i drop Nomad's Assembly, then have it rebound next turn and drop coat of arms, its pretty much always a killshot, Legit I've gotten up to 59,990 damage per turn with enough token duplication

marrow gnawer, dark ritual, gauntlet of power, swarm of rats, you might want to look into those, my friend uses all of them in his relentless rats deck
