Deck Description

third take at this deck. i keep making slight tweaks. this version comes with a newly added goblin tunneler. im thinking about adding the 4th viscera seer and taking out a reasembling skeletons, but i am still undecided. a trifle, but it could be important. also thinking about another tunneler or tuktuk because they are very helpful sometimes. thoughts?

here is the original plan if you arent familiar with my other versions.

strategy-
essentially beef up bloodthrone vampire as fast as you can. most creatures, once sacced activate extra stuff and more damage.

key cards: bloodthrone vampire, pawn of ulamog, fling.

combos with pawn of ulamog: if he is out, you can sac a creature to bloodthrone, then sac the token it produces for double the beef. multiple pawns make for multiple fun. reassembling skeleton works well with this.

other cards are for graveyard retrieval.

sideboard is also almost done but might need some tweaks as well. some burn for some creature control if it becomes a problem, jinxed idol for an alternate win (but really its just for the lulz), demonic appetite for some fast beef (works well if you plan on flinging a creature right away), masticore because i have it :D, hellion eruption was once an idea, but its too slow and doesnt really fit.

help is appreciated. im focusing on the card amounts right now.

why wouldn't i do that on a site where im looking for help though lol? i wanted to give the best possible description so people know whats going on and give sound advice. besides, im pretty sure i will not encounter many of you in matches so its no biggy. weird comment but thanks anyway. ill make sure i dont bring a sign with my key cards written on it on my chest next time i go to FNM though. lol. be funny though. i should do it anyway for the lulz. it might actually work in my favor because they would be too surprised to figure out whats going on.

Since you have a couple of goblins, you may consider goblin grenade. Don't no if there's a specific format you want to play, because, ofcourse, it woudn't be legal. Another suggestion, maybe for the sideboard is Voracious Dragon. Jus a couple of thoughts...

nice ideas but sadly its supposed to be standard format. both those cards would have been sick to figure out a way to get in though. they fit the saccing theme. thanks for the comment

Blade of the Blood Chief might be a card to consider. It lets you use your combo and sac engine to buff any creature, not just a bloodthrone. Even put on something as modest as a Viscera Seer can get out of hand quite quickly, especially once they start chump blocking, lol.

A question about this deck, if you tap Goblin Tunneler to make target creature with power two or less unblockable, Couldn't you swing bloodthrone(unblockable), then sac all other creatures to bloodthrone, then pwn them? lawlz

I don't think you should add more Tunnelers. They do potentially help you win, but their not the actual win condition card. You would rather draw your Seers, your Bloodthrone Vampires, or your blades. You don't want to draw up the opening hand that has 2 or more Tunnelers with no blade or Bloodthrone.

that's what i was thinking. i added a seer and took out a skeleton, and their are 2 blades in now. what do you think of the current set-up?

It looks pretty good. I've said before though, that the best way to know for sure, is to just throw it together and give it some playtesting, lol. No setup will ever be truly perfect in every metagame. Just need to know what's around you, plan for it, and see how it works out.

thats why some of my card values may seem strange. i have been playtesting, though not very extensively. im going to tournament on wed so ill see how ill do. i dont expect to win a single round to be perfectly honest, but ill post how i do anyway. thanks again for the comments

I'd recommend adding some Goblin Sharpshooters to the mix. With the amount of sacrificing this deck is doing, you could deal some heavy damage with one or two Sharpshooters out. Awesome deck!

im playing t2 unfortunetely but if i take it a legacy format (which i will probably do after the deck phases out) thats def a great idea. thanks for the comment. that card didnt even cross my mind for some reason.

Oh okay. No problem. I liked this idea a lot overall, so I tried my own version for Legacy. Really the only difference is that I threw in Sharpshooters and Grave Pact, though. I'd like to hear what you think about it!
