Oh I meant with the current T2 there is enough mutli lands that you can splash blue without gimping his playability. In my mind it made sense, sometimes actual work comes up while I'm at work and distracts me from mtgvault =)

Highly recommend adding one of the best infect related creatures to hit the game in the most recent release, Blighted agent.

Good ideas, I love galvanic blast's potential. I'd look at staggershock replacing a couple trails myself. And another possibility is mixing in some iron myr's and thinning out a few mountains, just another way to get and keep 3 artifacts in play without hurting your mana pool. Food for thought, like the deck.

We must just be super unlucky then. I pulled a sword and my friend pulled a foil sheoldred and that's the extent of our good rares in 2 boxes.

I see your point tho, oblit is manageable but consider that 1) even if you can handle him he isn't legendary so you could be looking at multiple oblits coming out. and 2) because of his heavy black cost it combos well with extract-ish themes so you can lock down any anti-oblit cards. Just such potential, but obviously every game is situational.

Thoughts on using him in a SurRec type deck?

Fun vamp deck, but wheres the bloodghast? One of the best cards of that block and coincidentally a vamp.

I love that little loophole with the moltensteel. The combo to find it and upgrade it is creative. I just wonder how this deck would play out against some of the quicker decks or some nasty black control.

Ah, I forgot extirpate was out of T2. I'm still sort of learning that whole world. My friends and I played casually with a lot of wrong rules and tribal decks years ago and now I'm trying to make a leap into playing serious.

Just having oblit on the board I'd imagine would make the opponent wary of doing anything unless they can fly over it or past it. Thankfully on a side note, I've seen 2 full NP boxes opened and zero oblits. So at least they are somewhat rare.

Form of the dragon in 'from the vault:dragons' however since mtgvault doesn't have that option (and somebody already said the other form art)

Sarkhan the mad with his sweet battle armor and glowing red eyes.

Seems a bit light on creatures to me, and if you are doing UB infect I'd highly reccomend blighted agent, cheap unblockable infect is just too good. I also think Necropede isn't nearly as beneficial as some people seem to think, I like plague stinger/thrummingbird for the quick infect/prolif flyers.

Also, I'd trade some or all mana leaks for corrupted resolves. It requires the enemy be poisoned but there are so many quick easy ways to get at least 1 poison counter up early.

I started playing with UB infect when I read about the new cards:

but I'm excited to see UG infect with some of the new options:

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the title jag.

My feedback is the mana curve on this, from the feedback I've gotten and read in a lot of infect decks it really boils down to speed, especially in standard.

I don't see the point in using throatseeker, too much cost and a restrictive element that probably wouldn't be an issue when you are deep enough in the game to even play it, but still.

my UG infect idea so far:

Awesome deck, I keep seeing sure's extract concepts and I love them but I was looking for some sort of T2 option. So thanks Ethan.

Only thought I had was extirpate vs sacrament. Sac just seems flimsy since its 3 cost for 3 extract but I get that it obviously gives you access straight to the library.

And I don't get how wizards would make a creature as overpowered as obliterator. 4 cost for a 5/5 trample is bad enough but with his annhilator-esque mechanic as well it just seems like too much.

Solid deck, reminds me of a more simple version of the old championship deck wizards published. I would look at throwing in 4 misty rainforest lands for thinning purposes.

Took a step back to relook at this deck, balanced the creature to spell ratio a bit. Somehow I overlooked that phyrexian crusader has infect and got him added in. Also threw in some thrummingbirds for the prolif.

And after reconsidering, i took steve's advice and dumped the tainted strikes.

I always tend to drift towards fewer lands than the majority of people go for. But consider the mana curve and do a couple test draws. I think I had 1 hand out of about 30-40 that had mana problems.

I always tend to go sparse on land, and sometimes I get negative feedback for it but with some land thinning cards, flexible lands, and the mana curve I'm working with, I just don't want to go for the generally accepted 20/60.

The way this deck ended up coming together (I just went through and added a bunch of cards and then filtered through them to fine tune) I found that it ended up just mostly white. I'm wondering if I should just scrap red and the bolts. If I do, it'd be super easy to throw in dispatch and other white control type cards.

FYI, I loved your death knights deck and always appreciate your feedback.

Good call on vampire's bite, but I'm going to just swap it for a couple tainted strikes. Only because if it draws bad I can use tar pits as another unblockable option and I'd need to pump it with infect. Also bite is Zendikar, and I'm admittedly not totally familiar with T2 yet but won't that be out of standard soon?

Ok, dropped Jace and unsummon and added in 3 specters.

I did actually remove duress for a couple unholy strengths to get 2 extra potential counters for 1 cost.

Further critique is encouraged! I'm really looking forward to building this once the set is released.

I see the point on Jace, but his free mini-index is so nice and then if i can't get a creature unblockable being able to take away the opponents blocker is just another way to land infect.

And I did have more infect creatures initially but there is just so many good spells that can play into this, i figured with some deck control I can keep both hands where I want them while I wait for whatever creature I can get out. Any specific ideas of what to drop/pick up as far as spells for creatures?
