Deck Description

I'm so glad to see Nantuko Shade back in Standard, but I feel like even without Cabal Coffers, he can still be powerful. The method? Re-adapt that "Dredge Deck" that used Crypt of Agadeem to utilize him!

The only two real creatures to hit the ground in this deck are the Shade and Vampire Nighthawk, which are more than threatening by themselves. The rest of the creatures are meant to cycle into the 'yard so that your Crypt can get fueled up to epic proportions for either a massive unblocked Shade, or a finishing Consume Spirit or two. Rotting Rats does the same basic thing, but hurts the opponent in addition to unearthing after chumping. Death Cultist is also there purely for the sake of a turn 1 play that can help fuel the Crypt.

As for the rest of the deck, Doom Blade, Fleshbag Marauder, and Executioner's Capsule are your plain old kill spells to make sure you've got room to swing, and Dark Tutelage can make sure you don't run out of gas, and take advantage of the cycling and low curve.

For planeswalkers, the sideboard has Hexmage, for Vamp (or just other black) decks, you side in the Smothers. Inquisition of Kozilek can be good if it turns out you're playing against a deck with a silver bullet for you, and Mind Shatter can be a nice way to use the Crypt to take care of control players.

Now, I just threw this together real quick, so I don't expect it to be ridiculous, but comments are appreciated! I'm debating whether or not to make this blue/black, including Hedron Crab or Tome Scour, much like the other Agadeem deck did. Grim Discovery is another card that would be good to include if I go that path.

P.S. - The Dark Confidant is Dark Tutelage, the same effect on a 2B enchantment, hence why the deck plays a low curve.
