Deck Description

So, after catching back up with the new sets, I looked at Proliferate as a mechanic, and I KNEW I had to re-tool my Levelers deck with this new stuff to make it leaner and meaner. Finally, card draw I can justify putting in!

The main hitters in there are Hada Spy Patrol, Coralhelm Commander, and Student of Warfare, and quite the hitters they are. All of them can get out early, and their final level bonuses of shroud/unblockable, flying tribal buff, and double strike work VERY well with all the steroids they can get.

Speaking of the steroids, we have Training Grounds to help get counters on them when we're not proliferating, and Venerated Teacher, whose mana efficiency will be off the charts if he hits at least two levelers. Beyond counter stacking, there's a full set of Time of Heroes, which just makes things even more ridiculous, at a very low cost.

Distortion Strike's main purpose is to guarantee proliferation through an early game Thrummingbird, and secondly, it can bring about a nice 4/3 unblockable or a PAINFUL 5/4 unblockable double strike swing to the face if set up right.

The last two cards are such gravy. Tezzeret's Gambit, if paying life for the phyrexian mana, is just such an efficient card, and it's still good even if you pay the full cost, bevcause we get to level up everyone once (who already has a counter). Steady Progess I have in here because it's a card draw with proliferate, which is sweet, but ALSO, it's currently the only way to level up your creatures at instant speed, and most people don't know that. So, when the opponent doesn't declare blockers for your 3/3 first strike, you can make sure they pay for that with 8 life post-combat, while drawing a card!

Now, the way the deck is set up, it has AS MANY ways to level them up as possible, and many ways to guarantee they get at least ONE level counter to start the proliferation. This might be overkill, so the sideboard is full of more useful things, being board wiping if needed, Spreading Seas to get rid of multi-color moneyland decks, Oblivion Ring for nice general removal, and a nice extra buff with some beef attached to it in the form of Kabira Vindicator, should you need him as well.

Also, the mana base is very budget, so it can and will be changing if anything better comes my way. But, as it is, it works decently enough for me!

As always, ratings, like, comments, suggestions, all are appreciated and welcome!
