Deck Description

So here I am, I told some other people that I was making Bant, and here it is. Though it's a little weird at the moment with all these guildgates that I can't replace with other Shock Lands and can be gimmicky at times.

After going to my card shop the previous time, I got some new Bant cards which helped a lot.

How to Play

It's a Strange Bant Midrange whose focus is to populate (possibly a token from Advent of the Wurm), build up an army and have the advantage. With Trostani on the field, You'll be gaining 5 life per Wurm you play and I think that's pretty much the new Thragtusk idea after Innistrad leaves (still hoping Aggro will tone down). It kind of tends to set up and it has 3 Supreme Verdicts to help with that as well as 1 in the sideboard.

Vitu-Ghazi Guildmage can be decent at times. It can be a 2/2 blocker against aggro to stall for time for possibly a verdict, it can populate without taping itself, and it can be a 2/2 attacker. Even Though Trostani is typically better, during late game, you can populate twice with her,

Since I'm stuck with Guildgates, Gatecreeper Vine, I swear, has to be the best reason to use Guildgates. He can search for one and if you haven't played a land for turn, then play it. He can also block as a 0/2 blocker that's decent in an aggro matchup.

As you might have noticed, there is 1 Nephalia Drownyard in the deck. Why? 3 reasons.

1. It can be played off Transguild Promenade.
2. Helps us mill a little bit just incase we need it (against Control? There is a Memory Adept in the Sideboard)
3. With Azorius Charm sending it to the top of the deck, I can use Drownyard to permanently send it to the grave.

DISSIPATE - While I was at my card shop, 1 guy was helping me with my Bant deck and suggested Dissipates. I can see why, but I don't think they work in this kind of deck. Having to cost 2 Blue mana and the deck being more played around Selesnya colors, then it would be kind of difficult to splash in Dissipates in the deck.

SHOCK LANDS - If only I had the money......

.......................That's pretty much it. XD
