Deck Description

A Blood Artist Deck! Because why the fuck not?

Sorry, I have not finished the side board. But there's 5 cards in it already so yeah.

How to Play

There's so many small, small creatures that cost 1 to play and they're 1/1s with different abilities. as shitty as you might find it, the point of this deck is to play them and Blood Artist OR Falkenrath Noble and block with a bunch of them. This deck was partially made to go against the likes of aggro during the gatecrash era of MTG. Now these common 1/1s are actually good. The Dutiful Thrull can regenerate and then activate BA / FN's effects. Doomed Traveler can get you 2 creatures to block and then activate BA / FN's effects. Typhoid Rats has deathtouch without the use of Vault of the Archangel so that it can get rid of big, scary creatures you don't want on the battlefield. Trained Caracal has lifelink, which is nice, and the Cathedral Sanctifier can gain more life. they do have uses, all of them, and both can be used as BA / FN material. Also, Immortal Servitude for 1. Bring back all 1/1's that you got rid of.

Deck discussion for Blood Artist!! Deck?

I love the idea of bringing creatures out loads and loads and benefiting from it, I play the same sort of notion in my life gain deck with One mana drops like you were talking about, like Soul's Attendant and Soul Warden. If you want another way to gain life and deal damage, you could play Syndic of Tithes for it's extort? Champion of the Parish works pretty well too. Also mentor of the Meek could be sweet in this deck

Syndic of Tithes is good, but I'd rather use Thrull Parasite. There's already 4 Champion of the Parish's in here, but I do somewhat like the idea of mentor of the meek in here. Actually, I'll go try that. Thanks!

No worries man! Oh yeah haha I knew Champion of the Parish was in there,I was just appreciating how good it is in a deck like this with all the one drops. Because you're dropping so many 1/1s, your hand will quickly deplete, so you need to keep pumping 1/1s in to keep up the life gain and damage!

which will be why mentor of the meek should be in here. I'm running / testing only 2 because they seem a little expensive to pull off thier effects and themselves, but they were still a good call.

I would suggest maybe looking into some kind of sac ability, or some removal to get Blood Artist's ability going. Cartel Aristocrat would work well. Other than that it looks like a fun deck.

I have been thinking about it, but what if my opponent plays an aggro deck, which happens a lot actually. Should it be a sideboard card? Although I do like the sound of Cartel Aristocrat, thanks! Also, I have just updated the deck so if you want to see it, go ahead.

I would probably suggest at least sideboarding her. Then you could sideboard some tragic slip as well for removal. Could look into Skirsdag High Priest as well just to pump out more creatures? Works off the sac ability as well.

Ooh, I like those ideas. Next time I get into that I'll try that. So thanks!
