Deck Description

Silly people, why not just enchant them instead of destroying them? OK, well there's a lot of reasons, but here it's different. This is somewhat like Esper Control, only it plays completely different. This is a somewhat casual standard deck that is only $100 for the main board (which is very cheap for Standard) and can work since a lot of the dangers in standard are creatures (Stormbreath Dragon, Boros Reckoner, Voice of Resurgance, etc.)

How to Play

So you enchant every creature your opponent plays instead of destroying them. Why? Here's why: Gideon. Your opponent still controls the creatures you enchanted, so when your opponent plays all of what's in their hand, you play Gideon and plus him for a lot of loyalty.

There are 2 win conditions for this deck; either Power up Gideon to an insane amount, use his ultimate and exile everything, and then attack while your opponent can't do crap, OR you can just simply stall as the One Thousand Lashes continues to damage your opponent. Seems like a lot of fun to piss of your opponent and enchant their creatures with negative effects and stall and have fun.

If you're opponent doesn't play a lot of creatures (or play's no creatures at all, which will most likely not happen), then you can switch this into a control deck. Switch out some of the enchantments for Jace, Memory Adept and Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver and mill them for an excessive amount constantly until thet run out of cards. You may be asking why there's Avenging Arrow in the SB. I can't think of any good removal to get rid of Obzedat, which will go away at the end of the turn so you can't really enchant it. From that point on, Rest in Peace is for all graveyard decks, and Psychic Intrusion is against control players.

Suggestions always favored! :)
