Deck Description

This deck uses outlast abilities to bolster your creatures on the field and build up strong abilities that come into play as each creature becomes stronger. Plays fast and compensates with some defense along the way. The deck can be slowed down in favor of even more power cards for a late game push!

How to Play

Phalanx Leader will be the general in your strategy and getting one on the first draw is ideal. The strategy is simple, send out phalanx leader or an outlast creature early, and bolster with low cost spells to boost all of your creatures at the same time. As phalanx leader grows, your other creatures grow with him, and more creatures also come into the field with shared abilities.

In a slower matchup, feel free to sub in dragonscale general, citadel siege, and dragon throne of tarkir to power up your creatures even more! If playing against a deck with a high volume of monsters, especially tokens, sub in end hostilities and mass calcify. You should be able to recover quickly enough to finish the game with new creatures. Sub in abzan battle priest for more life gain if needed.

Other cards to consider, but not listed here are Mer-ek Nightblade, particularly to combo with the first strike effect of ainok bond-kin; herald of anafenza, to combo with dragon scale general and high sentinels of arashin.

That makes it non-standard. It's meant to be playable at FNM

This deck looks pretty good... Would definitely consider this for a new player or for someone looking for a fun deck for casual or FNM
