Deck Description

Casual Vampires. Check out any of my other decks and comment please. I only currently own the life drain deck and am trying to figure out which other one to go with.

Basically basing this off -X/-X creature destruction and combat calculation trickery. Lots of ways to instantly make very strong creatures fall to weaker ones.

So far I've purchased almost all the cards I need for this deck. I just need to get the cheaper cards now, I started with picking up the nocturnus' and all that's left now is the bloodghast and the spells. Also need to pick up 3 more consuming vapors for my anti pro-black sideboard.

Anowon was added to sideboard to sub in for drana against pro-black decks because he forces them to sacrifice a creature on my turn, and if a white knight is all they have left it has to go. Nirkana cutthroat is a card I'm possibly going to fit in somewhere as I decide whether or not I like levelers.

Thanks for the input. I'm going to keep looking at options. I'm trying to decide between this deck and my "Red Dragons" deck for which to go for next. The 4x Vampire Nocturnus is very expensive though.

Vampire nocturnus is not necessary. I've been finding I don't need it, not until it comes up in a booster pack or something. I'm not gonna spend that kind of money on a card I don't need. I suggest building a vampire deck. They're well rounded and have few weaknesses, like enchantments.

I've played that^ for a couple weeks now, I'm pretty stoked on it. creature removal and minor lifedrain early-game until I get enough vamps out for a sweeping blow.

Going to try to fit her in by making the spells x3 and her x3. Possibly not worth it though, I'm not sure.

Decided to sideboard for now. I know she's important but I definitely want 4x spells. Will see what I can do.

Haha, yeah I'm using sideboard to add cards i'm thinking of for the main deck atm. Not an actual sideboard for play.

I'm thinking about going 3x on each creature removal just to have 4 different kinds.

maybe add in doom blade?

Yeah, doom blade is always a possibility, although it can't destroy black creatures and I find that the -X/-X counters usually do a good job at killing creatures. Tendrils and drana can deal with the bigger creatures).

I see this problem all too often. The deck is good but you should focus on either agro or control. I'm seeing this as an agro deck, so take out the guul draz assasin as you don't want to invest mana into beefing it up when you can play something else that will either kill right away, or another creature. Again, if this is agro, take out the Nirkana Revenants, the excess mana is more of a control trick. Drana looks iffy to me but that's a middle ground card beftween the two. I'd also say put in the lacerators (instead of the guul assassin). you don't have to worry about losing life since black always seems to gain it anyway. This is all ment to be constructive criticism, and is really only good if you were going for agro. I built my own standard legal vampire deck. Check it out...i'm at the opposite end of the spectrum focusing on control.
