This deck started as an experiment in killing quickly with secure the wastes and Purphoros. It evolved into a Starfield deck with the enchantments I added to protect the creatures. Starfield just makes sense. It could possibly evolve into a while devotion deck if Purphoros doesn't work out, but the impact tremors+Purphoros is too good.
Painlands are primarily for the First Response as a way to guarantee a creature every turn. Mostly, use Goblinslide and Raise the Alarm to protect yourself for a big secure the wastes with impact tremors and/or Purphoros instant kill.
