I recently built a deck on the same mechanic. First of all, I found using the 8 draw spells very limiting. I added gitaxian probes and foresee, which really helped the deck run smoothly. Also, having teremorphics did wonders early game, and then I simply scryed them down late game. Cancel is nice, but getting the mana might mean you can't use it for quite a while. Flame slash is a powerful removal, but instant speed response let's you use your spells only when needed. Also, you might like to have a sideboard of cards like act of treason, demolish, and other fun ones.
