I think you should go U/B/G with a tiny but of blue lands. It won't slow this deck down, it will make it better!!

Sorry, but no and no. I already Brittle Effigy for control and also, Quest for the Gemblades ruins the deck idea--it is mana cost 2!

Yes, but you don't really have any good creatures besides black stuff. Maybe you should go B/G/U so you have a lot of options.
