How to Play

Main Combo: Archangel of thune reads "whenever you gain life, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control" Spike Feeder reads "this creature enters the battlefield with 2 +1/+1counters, remove a +1/+1 counter from spike feeder, gain 2 life" in this way you can gain infinite life, and make all of your creatures, besides spike feeder infinitely big.

the main ways to get to this combo is of course birthing pod, and the two chord of callings.

this deck can survive on it's own without the combo because it is a value-heavy deck with just some good creatures, does fairly well in all the games that I've played it.

There are two different pod list, each are very viable and they just have different match ups that they are better in.

Melira pod(Melira, seer, redcap/finks)
Melira pod has less disruption/removal in the main deck and can normally combo out earlier than angel pod.

Angel pod"value pod" (Archangel of Thune, Spike feeder) Normally runs 3x thoughtseize and 3x decay in the main which gives it a better match up vs some of the top decks like twin. With Angel pod you combo out by going infinte with Archangel and spike feeder. Its also a two card combo so its easier to set up.

As for when to pod into what, it depends on which deck you're facing. You want a variety of different cards so you can pick and choose what you grab as you curve out. (Enter the battlefield triggers prefered)
You can also use phyrexian metamorph to copy birthing pod so you can pod twice in a turn.

Yeah i can understand that, just mixing the two can combos can make you have less answers to different decks.
Still fine just means you get to pick and choose which one you go for haha

thank you guys for the thought! I have been working on this rigorously for a while, I haven't found the spike feeders yet, and I still need to find some of the stock cards, it's been getting much better. I plan to make this a little bit different than other pod decks, it's been interesting.

If you can fit a spellskite in there also that would be great.

The biggest problem with your deck is that most of it's creatures dont interact at all when they enter the battlefield(which is what makes pod good...)
You want a tool kit that can deal with Any deck nameable and then go infinite with Angel and Spike feeder.

I found a spellskite a few days ago, I've been trying to get some more value creatures, but I don't want to drop a whole lot of money on this in one go, so it'll be a bit slower. if you have any budget options or alternatives then I would love to hear them.

The best thing to do it use a card search engine for ETB triggers. Melira pod is a bit more budget than Angel feeder as Angel feeder runs more value and less combo.

When looking for cards on the search engine keep in mind your curve.
Also you may want 1 dryad arbor(you can sac it to pod to grab a 1 drop etc.)
