Deck Description

"I tried my best to stand your guard,
discouraging this event,
but now a stunning decline has commenced,
It is sundering my final strength.
I feel the presence of defeat."

A little haphazard looking, and perhaps a touch eclectic, but it works.
Currently my primary aggro deck.

Deck discussion for When no one walks with you

There's something about Midrange Dirt that I just can't help but love. It's one of my very favorite deck archetypes. It doesn't do anything special, has no real "tricks" or "bombs"

...it's just good.

I've loved it since Dark Horizons was a deck, and started looking into the older Dirt control. While not all of it(or in fact much of it) has remained untouched, it's still just as fun to me today as back then.
Even then the greatest "trick" it had was Maze of Ith, but there's nothing built into the deck that is unique to it. With the advent of Abrupt Decay, it has become the Midrange color scheme with the most variable support in my opinion, finally beating out CounterTop Bant.

... And all while being more enjoyable than nine out of ten aggro decks.

Dirt is the name of the color scheme. It supports a wide array of hatebears if desired, and Dirty Maverick has been an up-and-coming deck since before Maverick even had a name.

The key difference between older style Dirt aggro and the more common Dirty Maverick designs would be the inclusion of Mox Diamond and Hymn to Tourach as playsets, and the exclusion of Mother of Runes.
From a playing perspective it's trading for a slightly better game one against combo, and you can easily fit the required cards to transform it into Dirty Maverick in the board if you like.

And thank you.
