Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

If there are any true stompy players out there, let me know how I can improve this please.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this deck much better than it started!!

I guess this is standard?

Stompy: Creatures with a mana cost lower then their power.

So atleast drop Vorinclex and get to 60 cards.

well i would say get rid of overrun and put in overwhelming stampede. same thing but overwhelming stampede gives them much more power, depending on what you have out.

take a look at what i used, i have terra stomper who has 8/8 and cant be countered and only cost 6, a ton of little elves for mana and life gain, then the main 2 creatures as vigor and primal crux. rhox automatically does 5 damage and can regen if vigor is not out.

Get rid of Boneyard Wurm and Splinterfright. They will not be big in this deck. They were intended for self-mill type decks which use skaabs and Forbidden Alchemy, with some flashback. You do have mulch, but... Not helping you. You might want to keep the Wurms as an early option that will get to 4/4 later though.
What you need is more mana Accel. 4x Elves, 4x Rampant, 4x Mulch should be enough.
Creaturewise, less archers, less companions, more fatties. Turn One you want Llanowar, Turn 2 you want Mulch/Growth/Emissary anyway. How about Liege of the Tangle? I'll get back to you with more later.

You have probably noticed that you exceed the $5 budget. So, I would suggest you replace your Hydras with Bellowing Tanglewurms for evasion and your Birds with Caravan Vigils. That should bring it down. But if you're fine with $20, that is cool too.

lol.
Well, if budget isn't a problem and you have an extra $40 to throw at it, you should get some Primeval Titans. They're perfect here.

alright i was told about this deck a while ago and figured i should help out. :) to begin, you have a good start towards the type of flowing efficient curve, but it is not quite there yet. stompy by its very nature tries to be as efficient as possible, so that the deck almost 'flows' when you play it. i always see this misconception that stompy simply means a green deck with big creatures and a means to play them a few turns early. make sure to understand that is not what stompy is.

unfortunately when zendikar passed, stompy in standard became a lot harder to make. truth is that set had a wealth of good stompy cards, some so good i use them in my 10L. :) you have a number of the current go-to stompy cards in standard right now, but there are some things missing, out of place, and worst of all, in excess.

mulch, in short, has no place in your deck. there are decks that make good use of it, but without benefitting from dumping creatures into your graveyard it will hurt more than help. primordial hydra is strong, but is also mana inefficient. you need to pay 5 mana and wait one turn before it begins to show efficiency, and that does not cut it. i would not use it if i were you and instead put in 3 garruk's companions and lower your viridian emissary to 3 as well. you could even be so bold as to put in 4 and lower to 2 emissary, but that is your choice. primeval titan is excellent, especially considering that in some ways, it costs 4 mana. as helpful, synergetic, and efficient as the titan is, it is still costly to play at 6 mana, so a maximum of two should be all you use. on that same note, liege of the tangle should be removed entirely, it costs too much for its efficiency to matter. i might remove overrun as well, but without garruk wildspeaker it looks much more appealing. mutagentic growth is a solid choice for quick surprise damage. finally arguments could be made for and against using caravan vigil. on one hand it might be a better rampant growth provided the deck's aggression continues to force the morbid ability to trigger. on the other hand it could be even slower than rampant growth. well i certainly hope that all helped in some way. happy stomping! :D
