Deck Description

Really trying to make a viable extraction deck. I'm not sure if I'm even good enough to pilot it but I get tired of playing aggro constantly ;P

just a thought throw in a few rupture spires or shimmering grotoes and praetors grasp will become infinitley more useful

then shimmering grotto from innistrad is still good, however it might not be nesscary after all if you really wanted you could take out a land from their deck

While not at all related to your deck (which looks fun), thank you for bringing Praetor's Grasp to my attention. It has some very serious potential for a Land Destruction deck I'm working on. (Already using Surgical Extraction to pull out non-basic lands.)

it looks like an slightly updated version of your standard extraction, back with zendikar block was still around...

Thanks, just wish I was skilled enough to get the full potential out of it to be honest. But I get bored just playing the tired old humans deck at fnm.

i agree, its more fun to bring something "out of the box" at fnm... played a version of turbo fog last, was great fun though i pretty much lost every game post board... :)

i have also tried SWN's old std build extraction at fnm, and like he say, its hard to pilot for the first time...

i didnt find psychic surgery to be as usefull as i would have it, and now where fecth lands have rotated out, i dont think theres enough "forced" shuffles to make it that usefull... against birthing pod yes maybe..

for the U/B version, i think i would have tried to find room for snapcaster mage, to recycle some of my spells...

I'd use good old Snappy for sure. Miracles makes a good point that Psychic has lost a large portion of its power...it truly shines in Legacy Iso-Seek, where it damn near doubles the efficiency, but in this current standard, without even the fetchlands, it'll be a dead draw more often than not.

Our shop got wrecked by my friend when he played his version of Extraction for standard, it was hilarious. Oh how I wish Spell Pierce was in standard, I feel it could make your day interesting at worst, and amazing at best.

a card i have been testing myself for a version im using is night terrors. it can be alot of fun and useful. looks good otherwise. good luck!

when i dont get some of my other extractor cards it comes in handy. ur opp usualy thinks o well i will get it back cause its a discard, but then they hear exile it and u can do more damage that way. i only run 3 of them for now though.
