Deck Description

Standard R/W/B Assemble the Legion with Descent into Madness as the win-con. Focused around tons of removal to get the combo into play. Lingering Souls to stall, Boros Charm to protect your enchantments from destruction and to protect your 1/1 tokens if you can't get Descent into Madness into play. Blind Obedience to help against aggro. SB has various answers to stuff in my meta: Rest in Peace against reanimator (humanimator in particular)), Rolling Temblor and/or Barter in Blood against indestructible or hexproof stuff, Faithless Looting in case I need to get to my win-cons faster, etc. I'd welcome comments and suggestions.

How to Play

Stall and use the ridiculous amounts of removal to hold out until you can drop Assemble the Legion. Preferably, the next turn should see you dropping a Descent into Madness. Searing Spear and Boros Charm provide some additional burn to the face in the event that the main win-con stalls out or doesnt show up.

Hey, thanks :). I've been trying to figure out how to put this together since Gatecrash and I think this is a pretty solid list. It probably wont win any tournaments but it'll be fun as hell to play. I'm going to take it to an FNM this week (hopefully), we'll see how it does.

How is it working? I have been wanting to find a way to use this myself.

It works OK, how well it does is VERY dependent on what you're facing. Against aggro it's generally not too bad since there is so much removal. It struggles against control and obviously suffers badly if you're not drawing the removal you need or are mana screwed in some way. Having Assemble the Legion actually hit the board is, in many cases, good game as things get silly very fast. Very few decks MB enchantment hate which this deck capitalizes on. I tweaked the mainboard somewhat so that the removal is a little more consistent and added a 4th Lingering Souls. Thanks for commenting!

Hm. first good use I've seen of both Descent and Assemble . Good job to you Sir. Take a look at my token deck, and see how they compare.
