Deck Description

This deck makes tons of mana very fast, then puts all that mana into kickers that plus all of my elve's attack and defenses. Then when you have 50/50 elves, you finish it with overwhelming stampede for an easy win.

- You got Mana Reflection for even more mana than you could possibly need.

- You have Doublign Season to get double the counters and tokens you make.

- Coat of arms for a ridiculous army of Elves.

- Overwhelming Stampede for a win by overkill.

why dont you have any manaelves like llanowar elf, fyndhorn elf or arbor elf?

I have bloom tender, treespeaker AND elvish archdruid, what are you talking about? Those 3 elves alone have gotten me 40 mana on turn 5. Why would I untap 1 forest for 1 extra mana, or tap 1 elf for only 1 mana when bloom tender gets me one mana per green permanent I control, treespeaker makes it so every one of my elves can make 2 mana, and arch druid gets me 1 mana for every single elf. You clearly don't know elves very well if you want me to add those 3.

because its pretty crucial to get 3 mana on turn 2. Im not saying the deck is bad im just asking for your oppinion

The way I use to run this deck, I DID have the llanowar elves in it, but then I realized that basically after turn 3 he is useless to me. Bloom Tender get's me a lot more mana and it only costs two. That's what I dropped the llanowar for. Then fyndhorn is basically the same. The arbor elf I think is really pointless because it's tapping out and elf that is gonna get me only 1 more mana. You are thinking of cards that get only ONE more mana. I am thinking about cards that will make the most mana for my buck. Turn 2, ya I'd have 3 mana. But on turn 3 for this deck? I can have 5, maybe 6 mana. By turn 6 though? I've almost had 20 mana before. ON TURN 6! I know that when I pull my warcaller, I want the most mana I could possibly have to kick him with. And that is what this deck does. Especially with my mana reflection, my doubling season, and my coat of arms. People hate playing against me when I pull this out.

I prolly got my turns and amounts of mana wrong in my above comments, but that's because I play way too many games, and I have way too many decks.

ok just wanted to hear your argumnts, but im pretty sure Bloom Tender only taps for G in this deck:
the rulings:
For each color (white, blue, black, red, and green), check to see if you control a permanent of that color. You can count the same permanent for multiple colors. For example, if you control a green enchantment and a white-black creature, Bloom Tender's ability produces {W}{B}{G}.
8/1/2008 Bloom Tender won't add more than one mana of any particular color to your mana pool. At most, it will produce {W}{U}{B}{R}{G}.

That literally makes no sense. Why would it be rare then?

0

because its pretty powerful in a two, three or more colored deck, so that makes good sense.

Any question on bloom tender is in here:

I have to agree with you, elves do make a lot of mana, but they are vunerable, so they need to be really really fast, 1st turn llanowar and 2nd turn elvich archdruid is one of the best plays you can get, I've been playing a lot with them and 1 bolt can ruin your life, seriously.

Also, if you ain't playing for modern or the recent tornaments formats I think you should switch Elvich Archdruid with priest of titania, the extra mana can ruin you, believe me...

Also I know I can't aford it, but placing two Gaea's Cradlle would be advisable... and since you have a lot of mana you could run short on some more lands... switch them for sum good cards like glimpse of nature... well... glimpse only goes neetly with low mana creatures...

And furthermore... I bet with so much mana you'll be topdecking very frequently, so some drawing abilitys should also be advisable, like elvish Visionary or harmonize...

What i'm saying is that you packed a deck full of high cmc elves, and I think you would miss on speed with this deck... If you want, you can go check my elf decks... they have some though and experience on them but there's always room for tweeks =P like them if you please

I know I miss out on speed, but I make up for it in punch. And I do know about the vulnerability issue. That's why I packed the deck with so many play sets of my best mana cards, because I have been bolted before. Many times. But I always have something to replace it. I would like to draw more, but I don't want to drop a better elf for one just to draw. I don't play in tournaments anymore so I don't need to worry about any of that, I just play with a group of people at my College. About 10 of us, which is how many people went to FNM where I lived. Thanks for the ideas. I dropped 4 forests for Wirewood Lodge, to untap an elf just to RE tap it for that much more mana, and I got elvish guidance to put on a land and get me lots of mana as well.

Honestly, one of the best plays is a turn one Heritage Druid, followed by two Nettle Sentinel with two forest, tapping them and the Druid for {G}{G}{G}, playing another Sentinel, untapping the other two, tap all three for a Cloudstone Curio, then cast an Elvish Visionary, untapping the Sentinels, then tapping them for {G}{G}{G}, draw a card, bounce a Sentinel, float three, bounce a Visionary, draw, bounce, draw, bounce, draw, bounce, draw Emrakul and cast it...win...Turn TWO!

hey jacob looking at cards on here, found "Quest for Renewal" thought it might work for this deck, or any of your other green decks

i think you dont really need mana reflection. If you havent won by turn 6 already, which this deck is plenty capable of doing, you are probablly not going to win. You could consider taking it out and putting in a couple of overrun, same concept as stampeed, but a turn earlier.

overruns are useless, they only give you plus three plus three and trample for one turn unless you bounce it, i would put in a kamal fist of korosa instead, but please dont look at my elf deck, it sucks unless its in a twenty turn geltlemans game and you get font of mythos and vensers journal withing five turns

I've seen a lot of great ideas in the elf decks that people have posted in the comments! Lately I've been working on a green/white elf deck, but I'm unsure as to how effective it will be. If you want, check out my decks and let me know what you would suggest to make them better.

my turn 6 i can potentially have infinate mana and tokens in my elf deck. i feel the coat of arms are redundant with the joraga warcaller. same effect, but only works on you.

People, people stop. I DO NOT CARE about tournaments. I also, DO NOT care about your opinions on how fast my deck is. I go for power, not speed. If you don't like it, DO NOT comment on my deck. Simple as that. With this deck I have tons of fun and always give people a run for their money if not decimating them. Llanowar elves - I DO NOT WANT. Priest of Titania - I DO NOT WANT Arbor Elf - COMPLETE GARBAGE after turn 2. So people, just save yourself the trouble if you are going to bad talk my deck. For those who like it, thank you, and check out the rest of my decks. I make a lot of tribal decks.

If you're missing a efficient draw effect you sholud combine taunting elf with infiltration lens, espesially when you're playing with that amount of creature boost..

Add Immaculate Magistrate and combo with Joraga Warcaller and KO your opponents. I did it in my elf deck and it owns people.

You could get infinite mana, infinite overruns or infinite regenerations with Ezuri, Renegade Leader and 2 Devoted Druids

i would add in flourishing defenses and two grim poppets at least, that priests of titania, elvish archdruid and stuff like that work much better

with Wirewood Channeler, priest of titania, and elvish archdruid, the tap for one or 2 elves are a waste of a slot.

hitting joraga warcaller with Strength of the Tajuru is quite nice. i hold on to him until i have enough to pop 15 or so counters on him. with your doubling season, that is just insane.

i understand your deck kills as is, i just wanted to add a bit of advice.

personally i would drop nissa for slate of ancestry, you can pop it off with zero in your hand, and cast almost every card you draw. that would allow you to swap her chosen for priest of titania which only further increases you mana out put. i still suggest rhys the redeemed and elvish promenade as well.
that would allow for an easy turn 6 with 100 100+/100+ tokens.

with mana producing elves on the field, the need for physical mana is lessened, so the oracle can be swapped for a different car as well. same goes for the tree speaker. perhapes elvish champion, lys alant bowmaster, Lys Alana Huntmaster, or wirewood symbiote.

i think that the warcallers negate the need for the coat of arms. especially if you can drop a couple of them. i would drop those for privileged position.

one problem with that, hes going for uber power without resulting to infinate, and its about being able to hit you with as much as possible when i chose to, not about scrounging up a victory, this is the best elf deck ive ever seen, and just because hes not resorting to billions of counters
