Deck Description

Basically what the title says. On turn 5 you have just played a 15 mana boss of all creatures for just one green mana. Oh Snap!

Deck discussion for Turn 5 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn

A red deck for this would be better. This deck makes it so you lose out on Emrakul's extra turn. With a red deck you would get that extra turn.

I don't get the turn, no. But I get Emrakul on TURN 5. With red I would have to wait all game until I had enough mana. Which would defeat the entire purpose of the deck, wouldn't it?

No, you could have him turn 5 with a red deck too. Turn 4 play chandra of the firebrand, use her +1 ability, pass and make sure she lives. Turn 5 place 5th mountain, use her -2 ability on chandra, play geosurge, and since you -2'd it gets copied and you get 15 mana. Play emrakul, only way to counter this combo is to either kill chandra the turn you see her or counter geosurge. Plus people will be blindsided by this since red decks usually dont do stuff like this.

^^^^^ thank you for the idea of red, but how often am I going to have all three of those cards in my hand AND have 5 mana on turn 5? With the piper in my hand and at least one eldrazi in my hand I'm pretty set. But you say I have to have Chandra, geosurge, and one of them to all use in a combo. Thank you for the idea, but I like green more than red, I think I'll stick with my forests.

No problem. Its just the issue I see with this deck is a kill spell at elvish piper could ruin you. A red deck is a little hard to counter. Either way though, Elvish piper is a great choice for a deck like this. Wish you luck playing with it.

I've played with this deck many many times. It's lots of fun. I've gotten this combo off almost every single time playing with it. If they counter my elf, I have more, or I have all that mana ramp stuff.

And how about summoning trap?

Just for the lols,

1st turn
forest -> Llanowar elves
opponet plays force of will
You play summoning trap, get emrakul, place it on the table, gg. (U mad? *Trollface*)

I just thought of another way to do it in a red deck. I run a Dragonstorm deck that often triggers on turn 3 or 4 (Dragonstorm costs 9) and I'm sure that by using the same mana acceleration I could get Tentacruel out on turn 4 or 5 with mana to spare for Guttural Response (if need be).

A semi realistically potential play in my dragonstorm on turn 3:
On board (assuming I was luck enough to suspend 2 Lotus Bloom on turn 1) - 3x Mountain, 2x Lotus Bloom = 9 potencial mana
In hand - 2x Rite of Flame, 1x Desperate Ritual, 2x Seething Song, 1x Tentacruel.
Tap mountain, play Rite = 2 mana
Use 1 mana, play Rite = 4 mana (2-1=1+3=4)
Use 2, play Ritual = 5 mana (4-2=2+3=5)
Use 3, play Song = 7 (5-3=2+5=7)
Use 3, play Song = 9 (7-3=4+5=9)
Sac both Blooms = 15 mana
Play Tentacruel :p

In theory you could get 15 mana on turn 4 to play Tentacruel, though it is impossible due to how fast the theory depletes the hand. Here:s my impossible theory:

Turn 1 - Play Forest, play mana creature (total = 1 land, 1 mana creature = 2 mana)
T2 - Forest, 3x mana creatures (t= 2 land, 4 mana creatures = 6 mana)
T3 - Forest, 7x mana creatures (t= 3 land, 11 mana creatures = 14 mana)
T4 - Forest (15 mana), Tentecruel.

1 cost mana creatures that can add green mana:
Birds of Paradise
Fyndhorn Elves
Llanowar Elves
Noble Hierarch

Well, it is just a theory and I did say it was impossible :p

It's just a theory I came up with while looking up cards to help build a deck around Gilt-Leaf Archdruid (I have 4).

Well, I belive that's possible with grapeshot elves...
Actually I sometimes play with Emrakul instead of Grapeshot as my winning card
But the entire deck haves to be built for the combo.

I've had several variations of this happen

Turn one forest -> arbor elf
Turn two forest -> tap for wild growth on first forest, tap forest for two mana, untap with elf, tap for two more, use that four mana to cast Garruk, untap both again and play Elvish Piper or Quicksilver amulet
Turn three forest -> Concordant Crossroads, piper the flying spaghetti monster into play and attack ftw

Arbor Elf wild growth can be deadly

Same deck idea, more consistency and speed

Wow, never though a two mana generating land could be so fierce ^^ cool!

0

Ok I did the numbers wrong

The Garruk thing only nets you three mana

But if you bump the piper to turn 3 it still works out

With a freaky god hand you can hard cast Emrakul turn 3 with this deck though

There we go, figured it out. I know this happened to me once and I almost died laughing (my buddy wasn't as happy but still impressed) but I couldn't remember how

Forest, Arbor Elf

Forest, Wild growth first forest, tap for 2, untap with elf, tap for 2, play garruk, untap both lands, second arbor elf, second wild growth on same forest

Forest, Tap 3 mana land, untap it twice with elves, 9 mana in pool. Tap the other two lands, 11 in pool. Untap 3 mana land and one other with Garruk, tap again, 15 in pool, EMRAKUL

I realize that requires a perfect hand and 2/3 perfect draws to work, which isn't likely, but its happened.

How does this deck fare vs aggro decks? do you have time to get your mana ramp up?

0

Mono green. Just the way I like it. I would also reccomend though is that you can add in a summoning trap instead of it that betrays. You can pump up to summoning trap much quicker, and you can just play anything from those top 6 guys. Pretty raw.

I have a Mono Red Eldrazi Deck, it is so fun, but everyone I play with has banned me from using it because of the broken combos I use in it.
Example:
Turn1: Mana1
Turn2: Mana2, (Spawning Breath a 1/1 creature on their turn) get a spawn
Turn3: Mana3, Infernal Plunge sac spawn get 3mana, total of 5mana open, play Emrakul's Hatcher and
get three spawn.
Turn4: miss mana drop!! Play Brood Birthing, 7 open mana, play Nim Deathmantle for 2mana and
Ashnod's Altar for 3mana.
- Still Turn4: sac Hatcher and 1 spawn via Altar, 4 mana, equip Dmantle to Hatcher when it hits the
graveyard (Dmantle's Ability) Three more spawn in play, repeat until mana
is.......1000!!!!! (infinite mana combo) Hard Cast Emrakul get second turn, Bwhaha!
Watch Opponent Scoop!

forest forest channel turn 2 lose 15 life Emrakul, the Aeons Torn can't be countered and played from hand for full mana cost so you get the extra turn pretty simple

hell if your gonna do the channel thing,
first turn: forest, elvish spirit guide, sac 15 life and you got emrakul first turn.

thats of course if you wanted to go that way with it, if you wanna win asap and use emrakul to do it, thats the quickest way. It will prolly piss ppl off you play with tho, especially if they allow you to use 4 chnnels in your deck. =p

This can be done in any color really. Just use Quicksilver Amulet. For 4 mana you can play Emrakul, and if you do it in black or red you can do it by turn 2-3 by using Dark Rituals / Seething songs or w/e other mana producing ability. Enjoy :)
