Deck discussion for B/G Std. Golagri :D

Go with 4 Lotleth Troll and think about using 3-4 Veilborn Ghoul to allow for a synergized pitch cycle with Lotleth Troll. I would probably main board both Rot Farm Skeleton to keep your Deadbridge Chant going. Also consider using spells that will thin out your graveyard to your advantage with things like Militant Dryad, Cremate, and Vile Rebirth. With that being said, I would diversify your creatures with some heavier hitters, take your pick of any huge Green or Demon creatures, otherwise Deadbridge Chant won't have the desired effect of free creatures on the battlefield.

Any big creatures in particular?
eVERYTHING else makes sense and I'll work on it. Thanks! :D

Craterhoof Behemoth and Grislebrand are the first that come to mind, then Thragtusk and Sylvan Primordial. I would probably say going Jund would provide better options like Sire of Insanity, Master of Cruelties, and Desecration Demon maybe.

I think that slitherhead should move on out since it doesnt add to the self mill when you scavenge it away, but thats just me, i took scavenge out of my self mill entirely but whatever works!

Have you been playing this deck in tournaments? If so, explain how effective it is and what issues you run into.

Nah sorry man - this is a decklist i've made with interest to buy if it gains enough approval.

from playing a very similar deck, i can tell you the problem would be not enough ways to fill the graveyard quickly. mulch, grisly salvage, and lotleth troll being the only ways in this deck. wish i could afford the deathrite shamans in my self mill but ive already moved on to a new favorite deck for standard

In that case you could just swap Vraska for Garrurk, Primal Hunter for the added draw effect which would in theory provide all the elements scavenge would need.

With cards like ghoultree, jarad, gnaw to the bone, and splinterfright you want creatures to be in your graveyard. So what's the point in giving them all scavange with varolz? if i was you i would take out corpsejack and varolz and put in ambush viper. your deck has absolutely no creature removal so this will be able to take out some heavy hitters that your opponent may have.

Sure, makes sense. This was something I threw together haphazardly when DM released. In reality I updated another decklist which ran quite well at FNM, but is to antiquated for today's decklists.

Also, i just realized how deadly of a combonation golgari decoy, and vraska's assassin tokens are. may want to consider mainboarding golgari decoy? just a thought

coolwip i have tried to make that argument so many times its really not funny anymore; on that note wasteland viper can be insta discarded with bloodrush to fill the graveyard/ always good to have a deathtouch blocker. on the golgari decoy note deadly allure is pretty cool

There are much easier methods to get Vraska's assassins through, first thing that comes to mind is Gruul Charm, with that said a Rancor or Kessig Wolf Run would do the trick as well.

My friend has this exact deck. Its very effective. He only has one vraska though and 3 gnaw to the bones.

Oh that's true. i like wasteland viper more than ambush viper. does the same thing but for one mana less!

I was going to award you the third most commmented on deck to feature rot farm skeleton... But you sideboarded him...
