i have yet to read up on white Standard deck format cards but Path to Exile is Type 1's swords to plowshares. except they get a land instead of life.

another thing is you are using too many things for such a futile attempt to attack an opponet in a legacy standard deck, or type 1 for that matter.

negative. if you arent dealt damage, the blood gets nothing. by using COP:red you are preventing the damage thus none is dealt to you.

And uh, if you get a voltaic key, time vault in the first hand with 4 mana at your disposal, your opponent will never see a turn. They will watch you constantly take turns until a Progenitus comes out. If not, Mystical tutor your deck for a Tinker. Draw that card with a sensei's divining top or an ancestral recall, play it, get what you need.

i could add black just to use vampiric tutor and/or demonic tutor. i could. =)

Now Force of Will, Misdirection, and Mana Drain will protect you for whatever opponent is going to throw at you. The reason for the Force of Will and Misdirections is because you may not have the mana in time to stop whatever opponent is up to, get rid of a blue card and stop them.
Mana Drain is a counterspell that gives you colorless mana for your next turn. It doesn’t hurt and it can help feed your Sensei’s Divining Top.

Naturalize in a world of Type 1. Too many artifacts live in Type 1.

Merchant scroll allows you to search for an blue instant. The instants in this deck are Ancestral Recall, Mana Drain, Misdirection, Force of Will, Thirst for Knowledge, Brainstorm, and Mystical Tutor.

Mystical Tutor allows you to search for an instant or sorcery card and put it on top of your deck. That’s everything listed under spells. Pretty damn powerful, no wonder its restricted, right?

Time Walk, Time Vault, and Voltaic Key. Take extra turns. Time Vault for only 2 colorless comes into play tapped. Voltaic Key cost only 1 colorless and another colorless to execute. That’s 4 mana to start your unlimited turns.

Relearn and Regrowth brings any one spell listed under the spell section back to your hand.

The combined might of all these cheap casting spells will allow for a quick ascension for Progenitus. How is this so?

Elvish piper with the help of Worldly tutor will make things go smoothly. So you say what if you don’t get a Progenitus in the first turn or a Worldly tutor. That’s why you have all these mana producing artifacts and lands for fast mana and you have all these spells to help you set your library up to get the cards you need. Brainstorm, Mystical Tutor, Merchant Scroll, Ancestral Recall, Regrowth the Ancestral Recall to draw more, Relearn it again, Thirst for Knowledge, Sensei’s divining top, etc…

You’re going to get what you want FAST. Ive used these blue cards in tournies before and had plenty of success, I just decided to put a little fun into by implementing the Pipers and Progenitus.

Lightning greaves for protection and to help save my counterspells for other problems.

If you are going to criticize my deck, make sure you covered your bases and then go ahead and attack. I welcome it. Nobody learns without critics.

exactly. now seras did you read what these one cards are in my deck?? theyre restricted type1. if you read them then you realize it doesnt matter if theyre singles, why? because they fetch you cards and condition your hand to get what you need.
sadly most ppl assume that having alot of singles in their deck means failure. however in james case, its highly different. the odds of success for his blatantly fails compared to mines.

only 17 lands? is this a shock? i notice most ppl put at least 20. why is there 17?

all it takes is a time vault and a voltaic key. the game is over. even without this combo, there are cards to help reinforce this deck in so many ways.

seras im curious, are you referring that this deck is inconsistent? if you are, you did not read its content. please explain if you are.

and you could do more with this deck in vintage, you lack mana for a deck that is black and green in type 1. very very slow in my opinion

leyline isnt as poweful as you may think against a blue deck that knows what its doing.
if you drew a leyline and was able to begin the game with it in play, is that still considered a spell being cast but for free? it makes me wonder if icould just force of will the sucker into oblivion. not a bad way to start the game.

are you making a deck based on what you only have? 1 stone rain? 1 shock? 1 crib swap? just only card of each? thats inconsistency. if you see my type 1 deck, i have one of alot of cards but theyre restricted and highly powerful. you need an overhaul.

i know, ive been googling tourny results for today's game and studying this 'jund' deck stuff among other styles. im new to today's standard format. i was thinking of ridding black for blue for protection. but im gonna just leave this deck the way it is and use it for my reference and make a type 1 fun version of it. more protection involing blue and more cards to fetch everything quicker with more mana.
thanks.

black is definitely top 2 in mana producing next to green. lotus, mox jet, dark rituals plus other methods. adding green to black in type 1 makes it even greater. ive put out juzams int he first turn. the thought of that just made me realize that you can put out progentius out on the first turn too *grins*

ah okay, here's some cards at the top of my head. ill add a color to it which will be red.
black lotus, mox jet/ruby, dark rituals, hynotic specters, hymn to tourach, nevinyrral's disk. strip mine, blightning, megrims, racks, memory jar(restricted), lightning bolts, incinerates, mind twist, fork, mind rots, vampiric tutor, demonic tutor, phyrexian tyranny, rhystic tutor, etc...

the problem is you cannot really combo a memory jar and a megrim, the jar is restricted in type 1 and banned in all other formats. therefore having 1 card, the odds of pulling it off is slim, 1 card out of 59 others, plus the other 6 you would draw, which leaves you at 53. do the math, conclusion you would be lucky to pull it off. now of course you can fetch them with vampiric or demonic tutor or the tyranny, it helps lower the odds a bit, 4 in 60 is better than 1 in 60. there's also rhystic tutor which is not restricted like the others. but opponent can pay 2 colorless to stop it.

i can add more but im done for now, im gonna go read all the other cards for the standard format, i need to see what a new world we live in now. my black/green standard is small fry at the moment and ive been reading tourny results from other sites to get whats hot and to understand the psychology of today's game.

i put progenitus in the sideboard. if you read the introduction then you would understand what my sideboard was really about. anyways thanks, im up for reconstructing the deck, the steelers ravens game is about to start soon so ill come back on this deck.

as far as arguments go, i have a person here who is the posterchild for inconsistency trying to tell me a little something something, thats all.

as far as control, as i have stated for standard decks, i have yet to discover more weaknesses and i will learn more as i continue to study the cards of the type 2 world. thanks for your input, i lack the experience in today's standard.
