Deck Description

I have a soft spot in my heart for Rotlung Reanimator / Xathrid Necromancer, and wanted to a do a build now that there are a few more sets out there to draw from. I know that Thatcher's Revolt is a more active use of Xathrid Necromancer's ability, but I wanted to look at a Aggro Control build.

Probably my favorite early interactions are between Champion of the Parish, Bloodsoaked Champion, and Smallpox. Small pox has been a devastating card since it was printed, and this deck does a good job of mitigating it's effects. Building with Proclamation of Rebirth in mind means we're keeping our curve as low as possible. This makes us more prepared to deal with losing a land early in the game than our opponent is. Having a creature like Bloodsoaked champion is important because no mater how early an important threat comes out, as long as our Bloodsoaked Champion is in play, we can make use of Smallpox right away without losing much. This is even better with Champion of the Parish already in play. These Ovbiously this interaction realy gets more interesting with Xathrid necromancer in play, but I don't forsee playing him on curve as important, pausing to disrupt where possible is a good idea, especially before either Xathrid Necromancer or Dark Confidant come into play.

Deck discussion for Psychotic Faith

Looks neat! +1

Orzhov charm might be good. And High Priest of Penance costs [B] more to play than Sentry, but you have your choice of what to destroy when he gets hurt, and if you buff him with Mikaeus he becomes a BAMF wall lol

I was looking at High Priest, but I wanted to keep my 1 costs around 12 for Proclamation. I think he might be a consideration over Disciple of Griselbrand, but I was paranoid about having no sac outlet on board.

Since you run weenies, Disciple is only really good if you wanna gain life from a buffed champion. I'd definitely switch him for Penance. With enough weenies swinging every turn plenty enough will die.
