Deck Description

Basically, you counter what you can't kill and kill what you can't counter while drawing cards to get the ones you need!

How to Play

You stall with the counters til you get Guttersnipe or Niv-Mizzet out and then you either give your opponent 2 damage through Guttersnipe's ability or you use Niv-Mizzet to draw more cards!

Deck discussion for A Genius Sniper STD

Just looking for anymore ideas to help with the deck! I plan on using the cypher ability eventually and see how that works with Guttersnipe! Will take any suggestions or ideas you have! Thanks!

Shocks instead of guildgates, they are expensive but they are worth it! Maybe cut negates add more dissapate, try a different kill spell to tragic slip as I just don't think the morbid will activate! Maybe victim of the night or murder? Liliana of the veil would also give this deck a bit more shoving power against mid range and control decks. All round a fun looking deck!

Thank you! Ya I'd like to add shock lands but there so expensive! The guild gates are to clunky and make you wait an extra turn which sucks! I was actually thinking of replacing the tragic slips! It's nice b/c its a one drop but the morbid could be hard to activate! I'll look into Liliana! Thanks again for the advice!

I tend to recommend Evolving Wilds to those using Guildgates who don't want to spring for Shocks/Checks. Same amount of clunkyness, you grab the color you need and you thin your deck.
