Deck Description

I love the Heroic feature. Not really utilized much in the meta, but I find it a blast to play.

Open to suggestions!

How to Play

The trick is to make your guys as beefy as possible, as quick as possible. Removal might be an issue if you want to focus one creature to beef up, but you have Gods Willing to help. You can also play this deck like an aggro deck. Using Ephara's Enlightenment to pump up your guys every time a creature you control hits the battle field. Flying and Aqueous form will cause an issue for most. Glimpse the Sun God is thrown in for a nice final swing leaving them wide open.

I tested this deck out some and found that you really need to draw each land, 2ish creatures, and the rest enchants. BEST case scenario, you can get a Fabled Hero, make him unblock-able, throw Eidolon of Countless Battles on there and you have almost a one shot kill. Against mana ramp decks, this can be tough. In that case, you probably want a Gods Willing in hand. It's a fun deck, but still need to tweak it some.

Deck discussion for W/U Heroic

so.... hallowed fountain?
phalanx leader?
you don't need Glimpse the Sun God, you just put in Triton tactics.

I am all for hallowed fountain. This is just what I run right now, keeping it within a budget.

Phalanx Leader was originally in my line up, but I pulled for the Akroan Skyguards. I like having something in the air in case the Ephara's Enlightenments don't come up. I suppose you could trade out the Battlewise Hoplites, but I like the scry.

Good call on Triton tactics. Added to sideboard. Situational, and hopefully your guys are beefy enough by then to block!

Needs hidden strings. Hidden strings is easily the best heroic trigger in blue, especially when you are running evasion like the skyguard, aqueous, and gods willing. you may also want to consider bioshift as a replacement for the triton tactics. It gives you two triggers for one blue, but instead of being purely defensive, it can move the plentiful counters to where they are needed. It works best if you don't get your fabled hero out until later and need to get more onto it, but it is also good for doing things like getting that extra five damage through by moving away from your blocked creature, or buffing any creature in combat so that it lives through it.
