The abyssal persecutor doesn't stop you from losing though. If your life goes below 0 you still lose.

The idea I have is to pose lots of threats with the bigger creatures and stuff that gets pumped up so that the removal is wasted on things other than Felidar, and if they don't get removed then they can put the hurt on my opponent, as I've found Felidar can't be relied on as it is easy to remove.
