Actually... I guess I should explain my top secret bullshit. 2/2 cats don't care about human help, but do care about honor of the pure. If nothing else, they're a bear in the early game, and an extra pumped-up white body later in the game... Or they can just neuter artifact/enchantment based decks. React is very u/w. The 2 most defensive colors together. I think feeling of dread is perfect for me with all the additional creatures I've added. It's instant as hell and for 4 mana, it can be the surprise of the century when I tap down 4 of the opponents creatures and swing for game on the next turn. Or, it just acts like a cheaper gideon, saving my ass for 1 or 2 more turns while I build up. Even if they counter it, I can still tap 2 down. It will be interesting to see how it plays out, for sure. Mana leak sits in my hand until later in the game, most of the time, because I'm busy trying to play my own creatures. It's an awesome card, but its better in the decks that aren't playing things on turns 1, 2, and 3. I wanted a faster deck with more threats. Maybe this will work.
I forgot to mention one of my main reason's for including the cat-boy in the main line-up. He stops stromkirk like no human can.

Yeah, you right about the reaction. I'm not so sure about their ability to stop stromkirk. stromkirk is a 2/2 (on the play) when the cat man comes out. and stromkirk exists only in burn decks. putting down the cat to stop him is sacrificing the cat to arc trail, shock, galvanic blast, etc. then strom gets stronger and you've been 2-for-1'ed, if nothing else, b/c the cat was your defense against a shrine that's coming out after stromkirk hits your mouf (or stormblood). i see it more as removal rather than early game chump-block. a viable alternative to early humans against noble is spellskite. he'll block stromkirk all day and eat ALL the aforementioned spells. blade splicer also kills stromkirk w/ her first striking golem (i'm just thinking out loud at this point). side in defensive stance to neuter stromkirk or gut shot to kill him outright. i don't know what i'm talking about anymore...
and mana leak keeps them on their heels whenever they feel like tapping out to drop a bomb, esp if you're trying to race them early game. feeling taps down their monster for the turn, and can be countered. mana leak turns their would-be monsters into just another card in the graveyard. but, if you're trying to race, it fills a nice niche for the reasons you stated above. i don't actually plan lessons anymore.
I think that with this deck, it's more about the board presence than anything. I WILL have more board presence than some fool who waits til turn 6 to drop his first threat. I Dread them on the next turn to get in some free damage. And it can be countered, truly. But only until it touches the graveyard when you can recast it for another 2. It''s almost like mana-leaking their mana leak. Same price anyway. (thats all that counts, right?)
