there isnt much work needed to make this deck standard, also there isnt much work to make it an even better extended, but right now its half and half, if you pick one or the other it would be awesome

what would you recommend that I could do to make it better?

I like, except for the fact that its based on countering spells. Also, adding in that merfolk enchantment that untaps them all would make it better. oh wait nevermind you already have it.

Well, I wanted to do something a little different, and I saw the lull.age mentor, and just went crazy. I knew that it was the card to base an off the wall merfolk deck around.

silvergill adept is one of the best merfolk out there mixed with phantasmal image to copy any lord or make a sivergill copy that u dont need to reveal for also curse catcher is amazing and merrow reejery oh i just noticed the thought was to make tokens and not to actually win well in that case image is still better than having fillers it can copy a creature that helps you this looks like modern or i would have alot more advice and give you a list i have won a 130 man legacy even with

Actually I wasn't going for modern. Just happened to pick cards from there. Open to all suggestions.

merfolks in legacy used to be a power house till dlever deck came about all the lightning bolts are hard to the fish to deal with but you beat all the combo and control decks
merfolks is a tempo deck gaining small amounts of advantage on the board at a time till they cant deal with it and you win by means of wasteland to cut there mana short or color screw them free counterspells so u can play your creatures and still stop what they are doing with daze or force of will . aethervial to cast creatures at instant speed for no mana and uncounterable cause your not playing them just putting them into play and also it lets you double up on creature throw more on the field faster also interactions with merrow reejerey are sick . reejery in play vial in creature , play creature trigger reejerey untap vial, vial in another creautre. or reejerey can tap the guys u dont want blocking your fish or permananets doesnt have to be creatures curse catcher helps for more submission in the counters and god forbid they play islands with lord of atlantis they cant block your ever growing team and lord of atlantis says lord but is irratated so he is a merfolk as well .

this is not by any means a cheap deck just the best version of the deck using as many 4 ofs as you can and coralhelm is a must and sivergill just thought you should know the best options

Ok. I will look into that, and see if it fits what I want to do with this deck. I appreciate your comments and advice, and any more advice you might have on this deck, or any of my others, would be welcome. :)
