Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

This deck is a combination between a speed deck and a huge creature deck. It gets huge creatures like Dragonlord Atarka out as early as turn 3 or 4, depending on how many mana creatures you have in your starting hand. You can use Dragonlord Atarka or Atarka, World Render as your commander or if you really want to you can use Ruric Thar. This deck is very fast, especially for a deck with almost 50% creatures.

NOTE: This deck is very expensive. If you cannot afford it you can swap out the 3 most valuable cards in this deck (Emrakul, Blightsteel Colossus, and Akroma's Memorial) with cheaper cards.

Note for playing in other formats:
If you want to use this deck in a format besides EDH, for example to play a game of casual magic with your friends or play in a vintage tournament, you just need to take out the EDH-only cards like Command Tower. If you want to play this deck in a legacy tournament, you will also need to take out Black Vise and Sol Ring, as they are not legal in Legacy.

If you have suggestions of cards to replace existing ones, please list them below in the comments.

Cards in the sideboard are cards that I have either taken out of the deck or simply cannot find a place for.

How to Play

Your starting hand should be about 2 or 3 lands and 2 or 3 mana creatures. You should mulligan if you get no mana creatures in your starting hand, or if you get a ton of big expensive creatures in your hand (4 big creatures in your starting hand is generally too much, as you will be drawing lots of them mid-game.)

During the first few turns is when this deck is the most vulnerable. In this time is when you should be placing your mana creatures and other things that let you get more mana fast, like Llanowar Elves, Overgrowth, and Somberwald Sage. If you get Freyalise out keep using the first ability as it gives you a mana creature each turn. If someone sttacks you with little puny creatures or even 4/4s early in the game do not block them unless it would make you take more than 6 or 7 damage. Early in the game do not block tramplers as you will take almost the same damage anyway, plus you will lose mana creatures.

After you have placed all your mana creatures in your starting hand, place a medium sized creature to block. As soon as you have enough mana to place big creatures, start doing so, because by that point you will have a lot of big creatures and should be placing at least one each turn. If you have Apocalypse Hydra, do not place it until you can spend at least 5 mana on its x cost. If you have Elderscale Wurm and are running low on life do not EVER attack with it or block with it. You will have other creatures to attack and block with. If you have Predator Ooze attack with it every turn unless it is really big and you can block something with it. Use Mizzium Mortars before combat if there is a lot of little blockers and you want your creatures to get through, or use it after combat if you want your creatures to be blocked and have Mizzium Mortars finish off all of your opponents' creatures.

Deck discussion for Fast Atarka EDH

Lurking Predators is going to put a lot of dudes into play.

Primal Surge is going to probably put 20+ permanents into play pretty often.

I'm not a huge fan of mana dorks like Elvish Mystic in a deck like this because you lose your ramp with one board wipe. IMO run slightly more expensive dudes that ramp you land (Sakura Tribe Elder, Wood Elves, Yavimaya Dryad, etc. You can still hit them off Lurking Predators, but you get the ramp in the form of lands so it doesn't go to waste on a board wipe.

Also, in a deck with just 8 non-permanent spells Primal Surge could drop 40+ permanents into play pretty easily.

EDIT: I recently found out that Emrakul is banned in Commander. I have replaced it with Dragonmaster Outcast.
