Deck discussion for QuickBuild: Izzet Burn

I like I like, seems very effective especially for a "quick build" :) +1 from meee

If you can try to help me improve my simic modern deck, i want to make it worthy of FNM but im still pondering on a few things, if you could take a look id appreciate it :)

awesome deck! I do this sorta stuff all the time. In fact, most my decks are made in this way. I once made a quickbuild pauper deck for a tournament and ended up winning :P

I threw a standard B/G infect deck together for an extended tournament and ended up placing 1st. My friends tend to dislike playing against my QuickBuild decks.

Throw in 2 chandra phoenix instead of the Dracogenius and you might be onto something

I don't have any, but I might be able to borrow them from a friend.

Why not have a full set of Skull Crack and make Lightning Strike the single?

I thought I had at least two, but when I built the deck I could only find one.

This is awesome, man! So great standard deck for such a low value!
This is a deck I like!
There is no other card that I would suggest except Goblin Electromancer!
Great work, keep going!

I actually thought of throwing him in here, but the only thing it would really help is opportunity (based on test runs).

How about Goblin Electromancer? Lowers cost of instant and sorcery spells so you can play them even more.

You made me want to make my own izzet :D

Check it: http://www.mtgvault.com/sang11/decks/699764/

This is how i would play izzet standard. In the 3 blank spots it goes Keranos, God of Storms, and in place of guildgates there goes scrylands (Buy ill have to wait JOU)

Cut the Spark Jolts, Opportunitys, Niv-Mizzets, and Flux Chargers, put in some Guttersnipes, more Magma Jets, and Skullcracks.
I'd also recommend Goblin Electromancer in place of the Rals and Elixirs, and running a fourth Steam Vents (And replace all the gates with Scrylands once JOU comes out).

Numbers are what they are because that is what I have. Further updates are going to require time, playtesting and mana fixing. For now, I might toss Niv and Opportunity for Electromancer because I have a set.

for draw cards i think font of fortunes and wild guess would be better than divination

If you're going to play Wild Guess, it'd be better to just play Izzet Charm instead, since it's essentially the same card but more versatile.

Font of Fortunes is, essentially, an expensive Divination.
Divination gets better once you have Goblin Electromancers, too.
