Crack the earth is a good card here. You can force them to sac a land on turn one with it

But then you'd have to sacrifice your land too since that would be the only permanent you would have on turn one, unless you had an Ornithropter or something else with 0 cost to put out as a sacrifice, including an Ornithropter also makes a good sacrifice for Shrapnel Blast.

If you aren't concerned about legality...might I suggest Price of Glory and/or Invader Parasite? Love the mana curve!

Those are cool! Liquid metal coating with shatter effects work well too

Now that is a truly powerful couple of cards together.

I would like to keep this modern. I thought it'd be funny at fnm (vs "the arse hole players").

Since this is mono red and I like that combo, I might have to make a second deck.

oh, I know that wouldn't fit here, as splinter is green. I was just remembering what else goes well with liquimetal coating is all. :)

but if you did run a green deck... then yeah...

oh yeah, genju of the spires is awesome.

With Manamorphose, Rituals, and Gitaxian Probe, I think you may be VERY interested in Volcanic Awakening. This deck could very well wipe your oppponent's lands with it. It's also not a rare.

I'm looking for sideboard help with a deck of mine, how about a look? http://www.mtgvault.com/socalithurts/decks/standard-simic/

I thought about it when I build the deck. Chances are that if I'm not dead by t6, I'm not going to have anything for storm.
