This is a fun, almost-competitive legacy deck. It's just the abuse of Illness in the Ranks and Forbidden Orchard/Varchild's War-Riders. This ends up being way more fun than it sounds. Other good things to add in are Hunted Troll, Hunted Phantasm, Swan Song, and Mercy Killing for Tarmogoyf- smashing fun!The Lightning Bolts, Thoughtseizes, Hymns to Tourach, Aether Vials, and Abrupt Decays are concessions to the competitiveness of the format. They aren't necessary to the deck, but are very very helpful in certain matchups.It's also quite budget friendly if you don't use the ideal manabase that I have shown here and don't get the sideboarded cards. The most expensive card that is important to the function of the deck is Forbidden Orchard, and it isn't cheap. If aren't going to play competitively though you can always proxy it. The real core of the deck is just:4 Illness in the Ranks4 Forbidden Orchard4 Varchild's War-Riders4 Blood Artist3 Blood Seeker3 Goblin Sharpshooter3 Rakdos Charm2 Blasphemous Act (or different cheap mass removal)This part of the deck (using the Mid estimate on the Deck Stats section) is $42.96. Without the Forbidden Orchards (assuming you proxied them or something) it's $21.00, which is nothing compared to most legacy decks. I love it. I think you should probably run Golgari Charm over Rakdos Charm though, because it provides similar utility, but it kills true-name nemesis and friends.

Good idea! It's also good for killing tokens, although the Rakdos Charm is better at outright winning with the damage mode.
