Deck Description

My first polished attempt at building a deck to begin playing in FNM. I have all but one of the cards for the mainboard, and half the sideboard cards, and have started play testing.

Been doing a bit of reading into the meta for mtg, so have built my sideboard to hopefully deal with the different decks out there. Note: I'm not entirely sure if this counts as an agro deck as well a midrange.

I still have a lot to learn about the meta tho, so any comments/advice/or even just letting me know if u like it, would be very much appreciated.

(This deck is standard legal, the website is stupid)

---------------------------------------

Perfect game
T1: Land, Ornithopter
T2: Land, Ensoul artifact, then attack (5 damage)
T3: Attack again. (5 damage)
T4: Attack again(5 damage), shrapnel blast. (5 damage)

5+5+5+5=20 with only 5 cards used on turn 4. I have done this before.

How to Play

Early game (turns 1-3):
you are going to want at least one enchantment on an artifact, preferably an ornithopter for the flying. Then begin attacking. Also try to get Chief Engineer, or Generator Servant out before turn 4.

Turn 4:
By this point if you have done 15 damage from an ensouled ornithopter, shrapnel blast to finish the game. That's the optimal play.
Otherwise you will want to use your ramp creatures to put one of your 6 drop
creatures down to begin attacking asap. If you can't, get that scrapyard mongrel out instead. This deck burns up fast and you will need to keep that damage coming.

Turn 5 (to end game):
You drop bident of thassa if you can, otherwise keep pumping out creatures. This tactic continues until the end of the game.

Other things:
-Shrapnel blasting a scuttling doom engine can do 11 points of damage. (very yes)
-Magma jet is important for dealing with the opponent's creatures. It is also needed for the scry.
-Phyrexian Revoker is a 2/1 that fuels artifact abilities, and is great for screwing over opponents that rely on abilities.
-You want to put out the ordeal as early as you can, but it is still very handy to draw late game. I would recommend dropping it on any creatures other than generator servant
-Lastly Polymorphest's just is just there for the lols.
