The soulgorger can be a good blocker.Grisly salvage,Commune with the gods and satyr wayfinder accelerate the deck while allowing us to discard from the deck and draw. Grisly salvage can give us a land or creature like Mimeoplasm or Varolz ; the 2 others spells can give us one on both, so we use Commune with the gods to find a creature if we need one and satyr wayfinder if we need a land.Varolz, come into play, we used scavenge on the hydra, doesn't matter if it was cast with just 1 counter, we put more on him and since scavenge is equal to the mana cast, with just one mana we can put a lot of counter on the hydra. We help the hydra survive with ranger's guile and, next turn we double the counter on it and attack.The mimeoplasm is the " plan B" since, he can copy any card in the graveyard and of course, will get stronger if we exile a phyrexian or death' shadow.Spell rupture will easily counter your opponent.And finaly, blighted agent + ranger's guile + scavenge or blighted agent + mimeoplasm + counters can kill the opponent in one attack, just for fun.The side will provide more control.
