Deck discussion for Budget Landfall

I'm a n00b so if my question seems dumb...well, it is!

Why Evolving Wilds & Terramorphic Expanse? These are cards I avoid. I just don't like "discard this to get what you really want". How about cards like Fungal Reach, Gruul Turf, Moog Hollows or Pinecrest Ridge? They list between $.25 & $1.0 & they provide either green or red (albeit with possible penalties).

LOVE the deck, btw. I like any deck with the word "Budget" in the title.

Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse are pretty terrible

HOWEVER, they allow TWO lands to come into play on the same turn, thus accelerating the landfall abilities of my creatures/enchantments

Something like Arid Mesa would be better since the other land comes into play untapped, but those kind of 'fetchlands', as they're called, are ludicrously expensive

hope that helped =]

I highly suggest splashing either red or white. Both steppe lynx and plated geopede are very strong, and cheap, in a landfall deck. Also with red you can add some burn, which this deck doesn't really have.

I have tried to make a budget landfall deck myself, check it out and comment if you want to!
