Building on the challenge to build a deck -featuring Laboratory Maniac as a win-con -Between 2-3 Laboratory Maniac -No more than 2 Dissipate -No Snapcaster Mage -No Cackling Counterpart -No Artifacts -Type 2 legal Well well well, as a typically artifact/combo player this'll be interesting. -- Post building- I kinda like this idea, I wanted to avoid straight self mill as it's not the safest thing to do until you have 1 laboratory maniac in hand/on field because to mill all 3 would be devastating. With that in mind I decided to focus more on self draw/discord like Merfolk Looter and Jin-Gitaxis abundance of draw which will let the control aspect of blue shine better and keep Laboratory Maniac safe long enough for me to draw out/mill out. A fun feature to this is Jace Memory Adept + Jace's Erasure is a nifty way to deck either myself or my opponent out depending on circumstances. Flashback spells to enjoy some of the cake that was lost to the madness of the Laboratory Maniac, Skaab Ruinator to add some more meat/beat to this blue deck. I'm looking at adding in Negate but for a loss of... I don't know, but it seemed like a good idea since 4 mana leaks isn't the best protection against another blue deck who may want to counter my Maniacs. All in All, looks fun and I might build it since I already have the expensive cards used here. Something to think about bringing to the kitchen table. Because Pongify isn't enough to surprise the friends anymore ;)
