Deck Description

A fun little B/U/W Spirit/Control deck I'm in the process of building. It's got some more expensive cards in it than I'm used to, aside from my Soldier deck. Uses Spirit abilities to either boost my small army or completely control the enemy. Phantasmal Images are used to copy nearly any of the cards on the field to supplement the current strategy (more often than not to clone Drogskol Captain or Dungeon Geists).
Most of my spells are used to make sure I have card advantage or what I need, when I need it.

As always, ideas and suggestions are welcome.

(I'm running on a tighter budget these days and my recent changes to the deck reflect that... Any ideas for sideboard and the deck itself are definitely welcome, though.)

Alternative Land Building:
Switch out all Painlands for; 2 Hallowed Fountain, 2 Godless Shrine, and 2 Watery Grave. Or, simply remove all dual-lands for four (4) of each of the above. Or, 4 Glacial Fortress, 4 Isolated Chapel, and 4 Drowned Catacomb.
Not sure which is best.

The deck's lifegain is pretty solid and can handle a lot of abuse.

How to Play

The main goal is to get Thief of Hope out and use his ability to peg away at the enemy while keeping yourself alive (and counteract the painlands) and controlling the field (counters, card draw, Pillory of the Sleepless/One Thousand Lashes, Drogskol Captain).
However, there are other win conditions:
- Overwhelming the enemy with the flying spirits
- Devouring Greed/Dying Wish

You can easily maintain your field advantage with Moorland Haunt.

Deck discussion for Rites of Possession

This is a strong deck. Lingering Souls would be perfect here as would Geist of St Traft.

I had Lingering Souls in here during some test playing and it wasn't really working. However, I have changed the deck since I posted it here.
I'll have to revise it soon and maybe get some feedback on it.

I originally built this deck on somewhat of a budget and I never got around to getting Geist of St. Traft. That card is super strong and super expensive, for me.

I forgot to edit: Lingering Souls doesn't work in this deck due to Thief of Hope's ability. It only triggers on Spirit cards played directly from my hand, rather than spirits going to the playfield.
Even Moorland Haunt is only there as a last resort for creating fodder for Devouring Greed.
