This is an interesting idea, but it lt looks really really dangerous... one lightning bolt, giant growth, distortion strike, ect (they exist in every color) would screw you over.... read that as very very very dangerous. Also, if you have Near-death on the field, why would your oponents even let you get to exactly 1? They would just charge up their creatures untill they can kill you completely. PS: Check out Platnium Golem...not sure if thats the name, its a mythic from scars that says "your life total cannot change"
