Deck Description

A somewhat improved version of a deck I built a while ago.

The central combo of the deck is Tamiyo's emblem/Omniscience. This infinite combo allows you to cast the same card endlessly, effectively winning the game as long you hold a mill card. The deck focuses on getting the combo out, and keeping you alive until that point. If you've got any advice that might help, that would be great.

How to Play

The first step is to get out Gilder Bairn, and equip it with Paradise Mantel. Cast Tamiyo, and immediately use your Gilder to get off her emblem. You can ensure that you get Giler Bairn, Paradise Mantel, and Tamiyo out using by searching ahead for them using Ponder, Serum Visions, etc. Use walls and counterspells/removal from the sideboard, if needed, to survive until then. Phyrexian Metmorph can be used as an additional wall or as an extra Gilder Bairn as needed.

Next, you have two options to get Omniscience. Show and Tell, or, alternatively, Academy Rector + Wrath of God will allow you to get it into play straight from your library. Wrath of God can also buy you extra time if you're being pounded by Aggro. Once you've got Omniscience and Tamiyo's emblem in play, you've won the game. Assuming you have at least one mill card, you can cast it infinitely until their library is gone.

Deck discussion for Tamiyo's Infinte Mill

You may want to sideboard Omniscience.

Why? The combo of Omniscience and Tamiyo's emblem is the primary win condition in the deck, so I don't think it would function without it.

Because you only have one of them. The odds of getting Omniscience is pretty low.

You don't want to draw Omniscience in this deck anyway. You want to search your library for it using Show and Tell or Academy Rector, so you can put it into play free.

I suppose adding more copies of Omniscience would better ensure that there's at least one that you don't draw, though.

No, adding more copies will make this deck worse. Omniscience takes 10 mana to cast, it will be better to sideboard it and use it when you get ten mana.

Edit: If you really want to mainboard it (you really shouldn't) then at least add 1-2 more, so you'll have a better chance of getting it. If not, then you should sideboard one of them. Besides, it will be highly unlikely that you will ever get 7 blue mana. When you do, it'll be at least turn 7+

I only need three mana to get it into play with Show and Tell, or four using Academy Rector+Wrath of God. Once Omniscience is out, each of the other pieces of the combo can come out for free.

Edit: The main point is that I don't want to draw Omniscience, because I don't plan on casting it from my hand. Using Scry effects, I can help ensure that Omniscience doesn't enter my hand, and that I find one of my ways to put it into play from my library.
