Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (2 cards)

Instants (2)

Deck Description

Due to the fact that Return to Ravinca has some cards with the nice overload effect, i built a deck around that.
Very useful is Guttersnipe, because it always deals damage to your opponents when you cast instant or sorcery spells. Lightning bolt for example would deal 5 damage to target player instead of three ;) .
also useful: the delver, because its effect will usually be used in a deck based on sorcery and instant cards. The same is true for Spellheart Chimera.
Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius will be a nice finisher in late game.

Deck discussion for Izzet Overload

overload in of itself, is not that powerful. your win condition seems to hinge on either geting out niv, burning to death with guttersnipe, overrunning with drake tokens, or swinging with a pike equiped flipped delver.

suffocating blast is sort of okay, i think that dissipate is still a better counterspell, as is syncopate (especially if you have 2 or more electromancers out, you can pay a single blue to counter unless they pay 2)

i would swap out the think twice's for inspiration or divination, as they cost less but ultimately do the same thing (draw two cards for 4 or 3 mana respectively, instead of 5), and with electromancers the cost difference is negilable.

a lot of your deck relies on drawing the right cards at the right time (having enough spells to use talrand/snipe/pike, or fliping delver). if you are going for standard legal, the only cheap solution is index, which isn't amazing. if you aren't going for standard, then ponder and scry cards are your best friend.

Thanks for the comment ;)
The idea behind think twice is, that the flasback will trigger the Guttersnipe and Talrand.
I also thought about Ponder, but which other card should i swap out for it?

I'm still not sure about the Use of Blustersquall. Maybe i should put somethin like lightning bold in.

You just went from Standard to Legacy just by putting in 3 Suffocating Blast and 1 Izzet Boilerworks. Why not stick with Standard to begin with since it is the most popular format and you can play with more people?

I would add 3 Counterflux or 3 Dissipate and more Sulfur Falls for mana fixing.

Also, squeezing in some Snapcaster Mage while sticking with 20+ instant/sorceries may help.
