Deck discussion for Infinity Fish

Overall a very solid deck and quite similar to my first Merfolk build when Lorwyn came out. I'd find a way to add 3 or 4 Counterspells to pump up the Mentor, just in case. (Each of my friends has a deck that specializes in tapping a crap load of creatures.)

Also, if it were mine, I'd at least sideboard Lord of Atlantis and Quicksilver Fountain. You're going to produce quite an army of little critters and Islandwalk would help against more efficient horde decks.

You don't owe me a thing, by the way.

Hell, thinking of my friends' tapping decks, Telepathy might also be a good option for getting the Prophets through. Especially since you have Merrow Commerce.

gah! was looking for trims not adds, though the telepathy is a must, i died to a holy day i think it was once, just threw it on the field and the i got eaten by the other players.

K. Trims. Lemme think.

I'd drop:
1-2 x Grimoire Thief
1 x Wanderwine Prophets
1 x Judge of Currents
1 x Stonybrook Banneret
1-3 x Merrow Commerce (in favor of another Intruder Alarm)
1 x Summon the School

Then just trim the lands down and you're done. With a solid deck like this, I personally would go with 46 spells and 24 lands, but I know you like your 60 card decks. If you must go 60, I wouldn't run more than 20 lands, 22 at the absolute most.

I forgot to explain my logic. I would focus on your combos more and use the Prophets as a "holy crap I hope I can use this" back up. You have infinite counters, creatures, life, and mill with Lullmage Mentor, Drowner of Secrets, Stonybrook Schoolmaster, Judge of Currents, and Intruder Alarm, so anything else just seems to be fluff to me.

If you drop half of the cards above and one land, you're set for a 70 card deck. All of the cards above and five lands, you have a 60 card deck.

hmm, it's not so much that I love 60 card decks, my captain cycle is proof of that (a sequence of 90 card decks, not including captain druid) I just don't like my decks being too large and in this deck where I need to draw cards like drowner of secrets it feels like a bad plan to make the deck too large.

Cut a School, a prophets and a banneret as a well as some land, decided to keep the commerce asa contingency to get my creatures untapped if no creatures are comming out and I think I'm done unless you have anything else to add?
