The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

3...2...1... REWIND!

This is a budget version of my original suspend-themed deck (I'll post it later on)

Main strategy:
- Stalling via bounce (Reality Strobe) or prohibiting attacks against you (Chronomantic Escape) while you slowly reduce their lifepoints to zero or build up Azor's Elocutors.

Weak points:
- The deck has a weak early game, depending on 3~4 turns to actually start doing something.
- Probably won't work very well on multiplayer...

Strong points:
- Once you are set up, it's practically impossible to stop you considering you can bounce lands back, effectively freezing your opponent in time.
- The recursiveness of the spells gives you a natural card advantage. Clockspinning also has buyback, which is amazing and makes drawing mana in the mid-late game actually useful, as by then you should have at least one or two suspended cards to manipulate.

How to Play

Your starting hand preferably should have a Riftwing Cloudskate or a Reality Strobe along with 2~3 lands. Try to suspend the cards as soon as possible (specially the recursive ones). If you manage to get Heroes Remembered or Mindstab suspended in Turn 1, even better, but be sure that you will be able to suspend/cast another thing in Turn 2.

Make sure to analyze your opponent when deciding which card to speed up or which permanent to bounce. I would establish the bouncing priority as: Lands > Enchantments/Artifacts > Creatures.

After you get Clockspinning, you probably will only need mana (so you can cast it with Buyback). It's a very versatile card once you have the right spells suspended and it can also help you with Azor's Elocutors win condition if needed.

Chronozoa's self duplicating ability makes it so that stalling for just a few turns yields a big 3/3 army. So try as hard as you can to preserve them at the beginning.

Deep-sea Kraken might seem that takes too long to cast, but it does not (unless you already froze your opponent, but if that's the case you've already won). A unblockable 6/6 is a considerable threat.

Curse of the Cabal's constant pressure might be even more useful than the effect itself. Of course, considering you can manipulate time counters, it shouldn't be too difficult to cast it/delay it.

Paradox Haze makes the clock tick much faster, effectively doubling the pressure, but don't rush it unless you are certain your opponent won't be able to deal with it immediately.

Peer through depths should help you get multiple instances of the same spell running.

Deck discussion for Tempus Fugit

As much as I like what you're doing here, hands down the best color group to do suspend with is red/blue. Red just had so many speed up/slow down effects for suspend that it's nuts. Plus, arc blade is fun if you get a few on different cycles.

Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you enjoyed the idea. :) I think suspend is a fun mechanic to play with.

And I agree red has more speed up options, along with some good creatures and damaging spells, but I really wanted to build an Esper deck, so I restricted myself to U/B/W at this time. Maybe in the future I'll make an Izzet one (probably splashing white so I can use Dust of Moments because I love the artwork hahaha).

I think the biggest thing going for izzet suspend is jhoira. He Her ability makes it so insane to just suspend stuff that you wouldn't be able to cast normally without building specifically for it, like omniscience or darksteel colossus. I'm rooting with a commander deck using her
