This is my cheap and dirty attempt at control, a style that I normally do not enjoy playing. I figured a Delver deck would be a fun addition to my casual deck library. Plus, I have most of these cards already so I might as well use them. I played a lot of Izzet back in the Ravnica days and this deck gives me that same sort of feeling.Young Pyromancer and Guttersnipe interchange frequently, depending on if I feel the need to fill up the board or if I would rather have the direct damage.Serum Visions is on hand in case I'm forced to be "legal." Plus I like the artwork.I also like Foresee, and sometimes will replace two Opt with these.
Mostly counter and draw spells, plus a small selection of creatures that take advantage of those spells. Kari Zev's Expertise works extremely well for me since I play against a lot of creature-heavy decks, and the free cast pays off big here, too. If it's not needed, swap out for more counterspells and draw cards.
